With this change to Delve, I honestly think that for fairness, the same thing should be done for maps;
1) No XP until map completion.
2) Lose all accumulated (ungranted) XP if you do not complete the map.
3) Lose 10% XP for each death.
Does anyone else see the absurdity of my suggestion?
Why should Delve be treated differently than other content?
delve is just a minigame you play on the side with loot upside. this is why your suggestion is absurd.

Delve change happened cause some streamers abused the drop bear nodes to race to 100 very quickly. They logged out before the node was completed. There you have it.

Correct! Now everyone else has to suffer because of the elite few :)

Some people "abuse" maps by not doing the boss and still gaining XP.

Since this patch changed it so conquerors cannot spawn if I already have all the watchstone from the region...how would I go about removing influence from the region where I already have all the watchstones for without messing up the quest line?

not killing the boss is losing out on the most likely way to get the next tier up map so its not abuse, it may not be lucrative for MF builds, but its far from abuse. that being said once you hit the 90's a death on a map costs more exp than you could gain from said map even on a full clear so technically it already exists.

Still no changes to performance. :)
After patch 3.10.1 for me and my friends game is almost unplayable.
Before this patch game was running very smooth without single fps drop.
Adjusted CPU core usage for processors with fewer cores. This should result in reduced CPU usage and a more responsive game experience. <---- change or revert this shit
Literally, my game is sooooo much worse now it's not even funny.

That's what item filters are for.
