Instant death with an amount of remaining mana too high to fit the MoM keystone value

well, if life mana pools are at correct ratio (which is roughly true in this case). In such case character dies with both depleted pools (while in the process both diminishes in same %). Now, if all hits were blocked before death, character would have to block at least 5 of them to recover full mana (5 times 20%).

In any case, mana being sufficient to provide damage mitigation 68% until death, and death happening quick enough to negate all life recovery (agnostic), we can look just to life with 68% reduced dmg taken, in all sense its the same as taking full hp burst damage or oneshot worth of at least of 9.8k hp (not including glancing blows mitigation)

oh, also those were simple blue mobs, no lightning stuff happening, just one sweep with a whip in sync with 6 others or so :)

Assuming that the 8% mana recovered on block triggers at the exact same time you take damage, then no, 5 blocked hits could not put you back to 100% mana, as you take damage at the same time.

I think that the only explanation outside of a bug, is that tempest shield procced enough post-death to give you back some mana, which would be utterly crappy a design ...

PS : you have only ~3100 HP ?

yes :D

this is the one build i wanted to push mom % and see how it goes. hp with mom is around 9.8k (6.7k mana with 68% mom).

The interesting thing about it is that agnostic recovers lots of %life. 20% of 6.7k mana is 1340 life and 1340/3100 is 43% of life recovered per second.
Simple. The answer is desync.

You're dead (server-side), but the client still has data showing you are alive.
Sitting in HO spamming alts for 4 hours straight is peak PoE gameplay. Thanks, Chris.

So ... to you, mana desynced but not life ?

...

I can't say I have any direct experience working on the netcode of GGG (thanks god), but I'm positive that's just not how it works lol.

(And I play in lockstep, which supposedly should never desync, I say supposedly because from what I recall, it was desyncing once in a while)
