Let's Discuss This League / Standard Trading Listing Feature
" I was just talking in global 1 about this issue and 2 guys said there's an option that players have to not have your items show up in different leagues. Says it's a default setting. If this is true, that makes it even more of a reason why this change is needed. Someone also mentioned something about the search results being an issue for people that use that 3rd party poe.xyz site cause it doesn't allow you to filter specifically for leagues like the official trade site does. " The filter is obviously not that clear cut, since you seem to misunderstand it. When you select "Standard", that is *not* a filter on players currently playing in Standard. It is a filter on items currently up for trade in Standard. And, it works precisely as designed...Every item that appears in the search results is up for sale in the league that you selected. Contrary to what you keep suggesting, you do not see items from temp leagues mixed in the search results along with items from Standard. There is no "double-dipping" where temp league items are displayed alongside Standard items. If you filter for Standard, every item you see is an item *in Standard league* listed for trade. " Agreed on the abuse aspect. The trade system GGG has put together for this game is needlessly frustrating. Borderline abusive of its player base. Clearly in need of an overhaul that GGG just doesn't want to make. But that's why I suggest an additional filter option; one that filters based on player the way you feel the current system should work. That way the players who like to play (and trade) in both perm and temp leagues (and there are a lot of them) can continue to do so, but you can ignore them if you want by filtering out to only players currently playing in your league of choice. - here's my sig

I agree. Having a new change to this is welcomed and needed. Being based on items rather than players is still kinda sticky though cause the items will still remain posted on standard, but the players would still be temp league. Still open to being abused.
If people want to continue trading in one league, while playing in another; then they should be the ones to have to work harder than those that are in Standard. GGG anything on this yet? I agree that the system would benefit from some sort of filter between STD and league. It is so frustrating to play on STD, send 20 whispers with no response, and when someone finally does respond, it is to tell me to "fuck off" because they aren't going to "waste their time selling something on STD." Apparently, the guy listed it a long time ago and refuses to remove his listing, but I found this interaction super unpleasant.
They already separate people by online or offline. It probably wouldn't be that hard to put an additional marker that simply says "playing on league." That way the power is in the hands of the buyers in STD, instead of the sellers that decide to stay in league without cleaning up their sell tabs on STD. Another, albiet more complicated option, would be to use a system similar to Ebay, where both the seller and the buyer is rated. If you want to buy something, you can send a prompt to the seller. It would be a timed prompt. No response, that's a ding. Refuses to log off onto STD, that's a ding. Completes the sale, that's a plus. You could see at a glance who is selling the items you want, and which sellers are actually worth your time. You could even put that in the item search-- checkbox to exclude low rated sellers. Or we could just do what actually needs to happen, instead of the bandaids mentioned above, and have an auction house where items are automatically transferred between accounts, like they have done in Diablo 3, and even WoW, a decade ago. I would like this post to gain some real traction amongst those of use that, for the majority of our only game time, play Standard. GGG needs to address this issue and apply some simple logic. For effect, I have added my ignore list to this post (from pathofexile.com/trade). Is there a fix that could be implemented that we, the searcher of the item, toggle LEAGUE or STANDARD or SSF or HC etc? Also while we are at it, can we implement another trade feature along the lines of not showing afk-ers? 95% of the time they are price-fixers attempting to artificially lower the price of an item and then they pounce (See: SCAM) on unsuspecting player that undercuts them. If we can do the toggle system described above, maybe we could also choose whether turn on/off the visibility of the "afk sellers"? |

Possible solutions:
-In game option to show as offline for leagues you're not currently in. Exactly the same as the trade site feature. -In game option to disable cross league whispers -Trade site option to filter out players that are currently in a different league Please message me on Discord from the MF Academy instead of PMing me on the forum.
