Ironic, as cyclone is about as far from melee and as close to a TV watching build as you can get to the old "kill bosses while dead" golemancers There's no powercreep here. Creep implies it's slow and could be overlooked, this is a full out sprint.

" Necros are getting buffed by generic power creep, just like every other build. This league it's cluster jewels. If all they ever did was buff they'd be in a cycle of scientific notation followed by stat squishes by now, which is a ton of extra work when compared to downtuning some things by 10 or 15% now and again. Don't worry, every patch someone says their build is getting 'destroyed' and every time people still use it to beat all content in the game. |

I think I've heard this joke in the context of five or six different countries :P To be fair, GGG has a driving philosophy of one keystroke = one action. Minion builds kind of get around this in a big way, and let you move relatively freely while your meatwads go into danger for you. This means, GGG does not care if the game they publish is ergonomically-friendly, or complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act, or compatible with a healthy work-life balance, or whatever you think is important to you. That said I play (among other failboat builds) a HoAg/HoP summoner guardian and as of patchnotes, I got run over by the nerf bus twice. It was a fun, cheapskate build based on trash uniques that reliably folded in shaper fights but did surprisingly well in a lot of otherwise difficult settings. I honestly don't know what to do with him now. A lot of possibilities come to mind, but none seem as *fun*. And they certainly won't run on 50c worth of crap uniques and home-rolled ghastly eyes. Am I pissed because my meta pet build got nerfed? No, I'm pissed because as a working adult casual player, a build I've been working on since BETRAYAL coincidentally went meta and then ate a huge slice of collateral damage. And I'm sure I'll play him as-is for at least a little while longer, but if the rippyness ends up being too costly for the amount of fun, he's going to the Big Denim Shoppe in the Sky to finally pick out a pair of trousers. Path of Building is not (just) a followers' tool. It's an essential part of the game now, and helps players understand how the game mechanics work. So they don't waste valuable time, currency, and all their RNG luck chasing rare crafted items or mods or nodes that don't actually help their build survive and thrive. I realize the folks who are currently keeping PoB up-to-date are having a cow trying to implement the new cluster stuff. Let's send them our spare guardian angels to help the process along. " The thing that gets me about this thread is that not using baron doesn't suddenly make your necro build special. When I think "special" necro build I think of something that makes use of exploding minions and other sources of damage beyond the minions doing the work for you. Yep, totally over league play.

SOME minions got nerfed.
Animate Weapon got such a huge buff, it's mind boggling to me. (Not chains of command, that got nerfed, but self cast AW) Self cast AW will be like Elemental Hit right after it was buffed. So absurdly OP that when they nerf it big time in 3.11 it will still be strong. Because of how cheap Cold Point Daggers are, and how AW now has the "physical" tag, and how ABSURDLY the new AW scales with gem level.... My prediction... AW will clear end game content with less investment than skels did last league, and do it even faster. Necro was not nerfed. We necro players just have to change skills. | |

I use the similar build, baron+shaper touch+str stacking.
I just tested with rare gloves+8 zombies and some auras. There is no problem whatsoever for me to complete T16 awaken 8 map and guardians. So what are you whining about? it is still a potent build, end game viable and great league starter. |
