More players means more load on the servers/ need to rent more servers, which means increased costs for no ROI. GGG are a company, not a charity. They made the game with the intent of turning a profit - and yet they keep it completely free to play for as long as you want but provide ways for you to spend money on it and increase the QoL. You don't belong to a special group if you don't spend anything. What is this I don't even " It is a fact not up for debate. Drops are weighted, affixes are weighted. It's all because you can trade. Even if you have to buy one public stash tab for a nominal fee GGG provides a game that can be played 'forever'. If someone can buy a supporter pack they can buy at least one public stash tab, if not you can enjoy PoE 100% free by playing SSF (which is great!).
OP has many supporter titles so I'm not quite sure why he posted what he did unless he is thinking of the penniless gamers out there, if so that very generous of him/her. |

" Because trade should be behind a paywall...for reasons. Nothing financially horrible would happen from normal tabs getting a 'premium' function of use for trade parsing...if anything it would drive home the point that a free-only player needs to manage their inventory or pass over some dummy-bucks for a quad tab (it's really the only one you need). Not everyone has $20+ to spend on a synthetically limited box that the developers have noted you have a damn near infinite number of (and turning 4 of them into trade-capable ones harms nothing)...if you're so gung-ho on people buying it with money they don't have why don't you donate a few like that guy donating supporter packs? You seem to be defending your purchase of plenty of those against people getting a slight against your sacrifices... |
