Will there be free public stash in POE3? Or is the free to play players forgotten?
" Dude. The OP changed his post. You can see that he did if YOU can read. |

well they could reward stash tabs for challenges(24, 36, 40 whatever number idc) instead of useless portals but i guess they need the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

" They do. Simple mathematics would tell you that they need at least $1 million each month. That is simple math. If you really go into detail of their budgets, I would think that numbers is a lot higher. And it's hard to earn money from players that are viewing portal/cosmetics as "useless" (even though they are, in the grand scheme of things). I could see them award some stash tabs as rewards, if they introduced some kind of season pass. I think I would like that, actually. What's the "standard" for season passes these days? $10? Sell them for $10 and include them in the $60 packs, while offering some kind of rewards every 5 challenges. Yes... I think I would like that. That said, the starting amount of stash tabs should probably be increased to at least 5/6, with at least 1 premium tab. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile. Hopefully, poe2 is sub based to weed out entitled free loaders.

I only want to be able to put stuff from stash directly in trade window.. Never gonna happen sadly.

" There's a difference between "balanced around" and "necessary", though. No one can deny that PoE is balanced around trading, because that's a fact. Trading being necessary, on the other hand, is very subjective/individual. Most OK+ players could beat everything the game has to offer within a three month league without trading. That's one of the (very) few positives with a bad, limited trading system. The game isn't too easy for the majority of traders, and isn't too hard for the majority of non-traders. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

" Man, stuff gated behind RNG in an ARPG? Color me shocked! It's almost like it does that by design cause that's how these games always worked! I don't think buying the only two tabs I consider mandatory (Currency and Maps) is much to invest when most people will pay Full Price for a game with a FRACTION of this games content. All I see here is people wanting more without paying a dime and that is just as greedy as games companies expecting players to shell out full price for a half finished game. Those two tabs alone, not on sale cost about 20$. If that is too much asking price for a game that lets you play all the content without paying a dime, you need to go find a different hobby. As much as I hate the idea of freebies, you could provide a way through achievements (which can only be done once per account) to earn some points that can be spent in the store. DDO does this for instance.
Doing it this way 1: encourages play, 2: rewards play, and 3: essentially forces people to use the store at least once. Edit: For a reason why just giving things away is bad I'll refer you to this article about low-value customers and why companies need to be willing to "fire" them.
