Changes to the Atlas of Worlds in Path of Exile: Delirium

So you're not bringing back a way to block unwanted map drops. Well, fuck my life. Game's dead.
Well get fucked, the amount of grind just multiplied again. 9 sections means 9 maps per conqueror at lvl 8 stones? 36 maps to spawn a boss.

"High chance" could mean anything from 11% upwards. This ain't good news.

I really, really, REALLY miss being able to shape my atlas. As a player that mostly maps, not being able to chain my favorite map of choice anymore feels really backwards to me. Why wouldn't we still be able to do this? How does it hurt to have that player agency still in the game?

The players who want to do the conq-loop can, but those who don't really enjoy killing bosses/can't because their builds are made for speedmapping shouldn't be punished for wanting to play that way, especially when this feature was in the game just a patch ago.

Am I alone in feeling this way? Please let me know what you all are feeling on this topic.

Otherwise great changes, the system isn't bad at all, it's really good, but I don't see why it couldn't co-exist with the previous way of handling your atlas.

So despite the fact that increased map drops and tiers were applauded by the community, the higher tier drop rate is nerfed. Why?
atlas missions dont interest me at all, the loss of maps dropping one tier higher and the more difficult map mods make the awakening bonus objectives extremely unappealing to me. a step in the wrong direction for me.

I stand corrected, i will just throw maps into the device and not run them if i ever get myself to farm Sirus. Throw the map, enter, zone out, throw another one.

WHYYYYY, literally one of the only reasons to do them was that? Getting almost 100% chance for +2 levels was the nicest thing!
