You did not know what they do, you misused them, now you are upset and blame it on the currency.
Just no.

Heheh, you changed your tune. ;)
You should read up on comprehension (lol).

Erm, do I?

Ghoun went from saying...

"Divines ARE worthless, as are regals and exalteds.
Just because YOU dont understand how crafting in this game works doesnt make them valuable.

If you knew how crafting worked, and how these orbs worked, you would know that the probability to roll something useful using them is worse than winning the lottery."

to...

"Divines have their place, they are not trash."

Which part am I not comprehending?

The part where he doesnt know what the fuck you were talking about.
Exalteds and regals are still useless (as a crafting material for items), divines have their place (they can be used for uniques).
The best thing to do with exalteds/regals is to use them on maps, which many high level players (including me) are doing anyways, or to use them as a trading currency (which everyone does).

I used 4 exalteds total in open beta, these are the mods i got:

Block and stun recovery, and 7 reflect.

50 mana

24 to maximum energy shield

I could have bought a nice item upgrade for 4 exalteds, instead i basically flushed them down the toilet.
Using exalteds as crafting material is pointless until you have the best gear imaginable, at which point you will be swimming in exalteds anyways (i already have over 40).
Their purpose as fluid currency far outweighs their value as crafting material.
From a crafting standpoint, divines have a solid purpose (you can try to make a unique perfect), while exalteds are used as fluid currency more than crafting material (since it sucks at that purpose).

I changed my mind about divines because now there actually are some uniques that are worth divining.
My stance on regals and exalteds stays the same. In the meanwhile we can continue to use them as fluid currency, or on maps.

What I meant was that there is no CRAFTING in this game at all, you mainly gamble many times until you get a result as close to what you want as possible (the chance of getting what you want is disgustingly low)
