Was it really necessary to spam this sentence fragment to make it fill up half a screen? I'd much rather have seen it once, followed by an explanation of what you mean and/or a source. As far as I know, you are incorrect. That only makes your spamming even more annoying.
IIQ usually is always better than IIR

however, you already have a good amount of IIQ and IIR so you're not really suffering by choosing one over the other. i'ts not like you're asking should i have only Quantity or Rarity.

once I hit ~100% quantity I switch and stack Rarity and at present I have them at ratio of about 1:2. still get a bunch of orbs and other currency but find a bunch more uniques.

0.9.9b

Diminishing returns now applies to the rate that Increased Item Rarity affects magic, rare and unique items (it affects the less common ones more).

Scroll down.

It's common knowledge IIR has diminishing returns.

Can't believe people don't read patch notes.

Derp.
The rest of the 'end-game' content will be available along with a heap of new stuff when the game launches in a few months time. From what I've seen it's going to be awesome. - Michael_GGG

Yeah I don't see why item IIQ would not be better in many ways, however it's not as easy to get as IIR and 100 to 200 seems good.

Because IIR has diminishing returns.

1. Your source doesn't mention diminishing returns *or* Increased Item Rarity.

2. 0.9.9b came out in May 2012. You "can't believe" that most people don't have patch notes memorized from before they started playing the game?

3. That change appears to be from 0.9.9, not 0.9.9b.

If you're going to be such a dick about people not memorizing patch notes, maybe you should A) link the right source and B) cite the right patch version yourself. Thanks for providing a useful piece of information, but you could have done that without being a complete asshole, or at least been a more accurate complete asshole.

I asked for a source and for you to be less obnoxious. You obnoxiously provided the wrong source, and cited the wrong patch while piling on insults about how dumb people who don't know the patches are. For a patch from last May. If you don't see the problem here, then you're a prime example of why the forums should really have Ignore and Report buttons.

So most people are saying IIQ is better since it gives you more currency, but doesn't IIR make uniques more common which can be worth tons of currency? Not sure if I understand the reasoning.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
