"If something bad happened to you, its your fault"
"if you got hacked, it's your fault cos was because you were using HAX"
"If you died from desy, it's your fault because u should upgrade that toaster and move to USA" "If you're poor, it's you fault because your noob and have bad KARMA" "If you can't progress at melee it's clearly your fault for being stupid and NOT TRYING HARD ENOUGH" "If you sold your Mirror for 1 alch it's your fault for trusting people" This. Community. ...shows as much support and compassion as Piety. I hear people saying these forums are ALMOST worse than LoL/Blizzard. Guess what? I use them and even though they have occasional pithy comments/trolls/arguement they are NOTHING like the stuff that goes on here like the victim blaming mentality and masochist "Pain is good" mindset here. This forum stooped far below LoL forums have ever gone. When i read "i got hacked" threads on the LoL community they are always filled with suggestions and help. In these forums all we ever get is "haha" and "noob get virus", "stop using hax", etc I find it funny how people dread the lol community coming over when they are themselves so much worse. If someone asks for help on this forum and all you've got is "you be stupid" you should get lost. Nobody wants to hear from you. Nobody likes you. " You can prevent desync? You can prevent bad RNG? You can prevent scammers from scamming? You can prevent melee from being underpowered? Yeah, thought so. Animalistic in nature, somebody help me Last edited by Covert#2913 on Mar 18, 2013, 4:12:42 PM

" Yes, yes, yes, yes and the fact that you compare rape to a game is just sad and pathetic. You have issues. - left this here for truth - Covert Thought so. Last edited by Covert#2913 on Mar 18, 2013, 4:13:52 PM

" Desync is desync. It's a problem they are figuring out. Bad RNG only goes so far. People who fall for scams are stupid, yes. Melee being underpowered is far from not being able to progress. Last edited by Covert#2913 on Mar 18, 2013, 4:14:15 PM

" Yes to all of them Desync - slow down and shit catches up..never caused me a single death and I play 2 of the worst builds for desync RNG - RNG is RNG...Avoid it by playing a game with no RNG. Every similar type of game has RNG maybe this is not the type of game you enjoy Scammers - You got scammed = your fault.....Ive never been scammed in any game ever....Its called common sense. Melee - Many people are having no melee issues. They have spent the time to learn the necessary skills, combos, and builds to make melee fine. Again your problem for not doing the research or blindly building toons Last edited by Covert#2913 on Mar 18, 2013, 4:14:37 PM

" Common misconception by people that don't like those responses. (and of course you added unnecessary hyperbole - This.Community.Derp.) <--- More accurate. It's not about whose "fault" it is.. it's whether someone should feel entitled to not have that thing happen to them because it's not their fault. ... It's not your fault you died to desync. It's your fault for not knowing that could happen and thinking we want to hear you QQ about it. As if your desync death was more important than any other desync death. ... It's not your fault you were scammed. It's your fault you accepted the challenge of trading without researching first. The scammer is to blame for the actual act, but you, me, nor GGG possess the power to prevent scamming. You can choose to be more educated and cautious. You chose not to. ... The big lesson that people don't get (and won't get even after reading this) -- is that bad things happen continuously to people that always blame something other than themselves when bad things happen. It might be someone elses' fault, but if you aren't the type of person to ask "What could I have done differently?" then you will constantly have similar things happen to you for the rest of your life. Other people will seem lucky and you will always feel like you get screwed. ... I came to this forum today even though I know 90% of the content posted is garbage. I didn't post this thread... so it's not "my fault" it exists... but it is my fault that I am reading this and responding to it because I knew this type of content would be posted before I ever entered the URL. ... ^REALITY " ... to let them know the game isn’t going to be very fair from here on out." - Qarl Last edited by Covert#2913 on Mar 18, 2013, 4:15:20 PM

" Wow, this is totally over the top. Sorry, dude, I know where you're coming from, but I really don't think someone posting a single rant/whine/QQ/whatever thread gives people the right to assume that the creator of that post 'spends their whole life blaming someone else for their own mistakes'. The leap of assumption here is astounding. The 'majority' of regular human beings have what is known as 'varied' personalities, whereby the reaction to one situation will likely be completely the reverse to how they act to a similar but slightly different situation. For example: If someone hits their thumb with their hammer while doing carpentry work, pretty much all humans will 'blame themselves'. However, if someone is under the employ of someone else who has asked them to do some DIY which they normally wouldn't do and are just doing it because the boss 'told' them to (or asked nicely or whatever) and they hit their thumb, then pretty much all humans will blame the employer. Because they wouldn't be using the hammer in the first place otherwise. If someone else is wielding the hammer and you are just holding the wood, and that person whacks you on the thumb, 100% of people will blame the hitter, even though it was your choice to hold the wood when you knew the other person was a fallible human being. To wrap the concept of blame into a neat little paragraph of absolution is just asking for a response that, I too, had no intention of doing until I logged onto this url, etc etc etc |

" Incorrect. (And even used "100%" to describe something that is NOT 100%) :/ The first time someone whacks me with a hammer while I'm holding the wood... I'm pretty pissed at that person. The second time, even if it is a different person I'm still pissed at them but I'm also asking myself why I held the wood when I knew they might hit me by mistake. The third time it happens, my first thought is it was completely my fault because I knew there was a chance it was going to happen based on previous results and I accepted that risk when I agreed to hold the wood. Replace the hammer with desync HC death and it is the exact same story. "Fool me once..." ... You are right that I can't assume to know exactly how often any individual does this based on one example... but I can assume to know that appx 50% of people are below the middle threshold of self accountability. And I can assume that those 50% of people make up the vast majority of posts complaining about things that the other 50% accept, deal with, and adjust for the most part. So if you are someone that QQ's about a desync death, there is a good chance you would get hit in the hand with the hammer 3,4,5+ times and blame the hammer wielder each time.
