The Sirus Fight is Really Badly Designed

The worst boss in any game. I don't know how they test. The new atlas is a disaster, the new boss is a disaster, the new league feature is a disaster. To complicated way to open map without a normal way to control your progression. A boss you know. The eyes of metamorphs...
I agree the fight is just not fun. I've failed it 3 times so far and 95% of my deaths were to the storms.

The storms AOE is bigger than the visual and can end up on the entrance of the arena.
You can't see the storms on your minimap and even their initial placement means you have to fight everytime you enter the arena.
The arena is too big, its a long run back, you have to run between storms to get to the boss and worse of all you can't see the boss untill its usually too late and you eat a laser or meteor to the face and get to run back again.
The visual are cluttered and unclear. The abilty that shakes up the ground leaves a visual of broken ground, which hides most other abilities that you have to dodge. And its black and red upon black and grey because we need don't need to see where the ground degen is.

And above all, its tied to your own atlas progression so if you fail it means you have to run 30-50 more maps before you get the chance to try again, unlike previous bosses where you kept the progress and could retry with fragments.

Spend 5 hours running maps to spawn influence and get each conqueror to spawn. Start the encounter then die and then realize the entire attempt is bricked because the storms can still spawn in your entry point. Repeat the cycle of having to spend another 5 hours to spawn Sirus and hope this time this shit doesen't bug. I don't get how you go from a fight like uber elder or aul to this which is supposed the ultimate endgame fight

It completely sucked the fun out of this league in its entirety.
Slowly progressing for a few days, to finally reach the fight. Having a good old time.

Then die once and come back in to see this...


I have zero motivation to even go through the hours of grinding to spawn him again, as I didn't even get a chance to try the fight properly the first time.

Thought I was doing good on my 1st try on awakener.

Then died in 2nd phase which happens after 3 storms have already spawned and couldn't re-enter, sooooooooooooo frustrating =/

Please change placement of the entrance portal or smth
They need to change stupid storm mechanics for something like Uber Elder.
As someone sayd here, this is GGG's response to the Power-creeps. Developers if you see this i'm glad, your players are starting to get bored of the game because it became lame to farm 4-5 hour atlas then fail at endgame in a pointless vortex arena and finaly they will quit because you didn't even made it a "resume fight" like Uber Elder. At uber elder at least if you've failed you coulded resume fight by placing fragments in the device, instead you chosed a masochist ideea that people will love to farm 24h a day in order to make 3 fights lmao

P.S : GG you showed the power creeps whose the "boss" !!!

The clusterfuck the storms create make it impossible to see anything.

This is THE worst boss encounter in any ARGP I have ever played.

I really hope GGG are taking these threads seriously as this boss fight doesn't make a lot of sense. It's gated behind 10x the RNG Uber Elder was. Which is fine. What is not fine is:

1. boss bugs and he stays up in the air forever.

2. The storms are not intuitive at all - they can brick your run, they're telegraphed poorly with hitboxes that are way larger than what they look, and it's very hard to grasp where you are allowed to actually herd them to not make it horrible for you later.

3. The immunity phase is the hardest part of the boss fight. It's fairly easy to just run around in circles around the boss dodging everything and quickly run out of the circle area / bowling area when he does those two attacks.

4. At exilecon it was said that immunity phases on bosses are bad design, yet in the new final boss in this expansion you spend 30-40% of the time in an immunity phase trying not to brick your run, and herding tornados into position so your arena doesn't suck.

5. The first couple of times when I tried to do uber elder (and failed) it felt like it was my own fault that I died. In the awakener fight it is very demotivating to die to poorly telegraphed huge degen zones that you have to spend half the fight getting into the correct position and pray that IF you die another cloud of death doesn't block your entrance back to the arena, which effectively makes the boss a 1 portal deal and not 6.

These are my main issues with this fight. Other than that, love the league and I love the atlas changes. My only gripe are missing eyes (and for some reason livers!), this boss, and atlas have some weird bugs with watchstones and proccing conquerors. I hope you will make some extensive changes to this boss fight to make it more fair - not easier - just fair.
i am sorry but whoever designed this fight needs to be put in a corner and told to just work on mtx.

this is an absolute cluster f*ck of a fight , in which as others have said you can brick the run due to one bad aoe.

The fight could be fixed in a number of ways.

1) the aoes dissapear after some time
2) the aoes move to a designated corner by themselves and simply require you to avoid them. ie it does not track you .
3) the aoes get smaller over time
4) the boss cant stand inside an aoe.

i mean any of these would fix the main issue with the fight, but lastly the fight should not require you to refarm the conqurors for another attempt.
As a worse case it should make you find one conquror and reset the fight attempt.

The mechanic of farming for hours for one encounter simply demoralizes players with lives. Respect the players time , stop shitting all over us and pushing mtx out every other day.

i wanted to get a few core supporter packs , but the quality that you are releasing seems 100% counter to the claims you make at exilecon.

Fix sirus fight and mechanics to get to it.
Fix map stash tab.
Fix mechanic to re-enter sirus fight.



Sirus fight isn't really hard, and isn't really entertaining too.
The cloud is not a problem once you know how to lure it aways.

Maybe devs are not motivated anymore because POE 2 is next step, meaning they are working on a dead horse.
