this thing CANNOT BE OUTPLAYED if it happens to you. and there is NO WAY of avoiding this crap.

so far what ive seens is successful is ENORMOUS DPS and standoff + distraction (like totems/skeletons and the like). stuff that you can easily re-summon, that deals damage while you run for your life (still the best defence in POE)

DoTs are not very successful due to insane life pool and resists

oh well, maybe lets brick the attempt and take a break. too many bugs, too many questionable decisions this patch


When I started the fight I lost half my spectres before even engaging him lul. They just seem to be drawn to those tornadoes.

Next boss they release will be immune to elemental damage. Because excluding builds from being able to even put up a fight seems like the next thing they are doing.


Agreed. It amuses me that they harp on about "balance" when they release such poorly designed bosses.
Yeah happened to me also, got him down to about 30% hp and he disappeared couldnt find him at first, but then noticed i didnt check one place that was blocked by 4 degen clouds without any gap, used 3 portals just to check that spot and yea there he was in very small area (where helena is in oriath) that already had 2 more degen clouds on the sides. Then he decided to spawn one more cloud to just say f#ck you, it just trapped me between like 7 clouds that was impossible to escape.

Truly great design, will never do it again without 10k+ ES character.
Im going to hold off judgement. when shaper came out 3 years ago, responses were similar.
I couldn't even tell what was happening in the fight. I guarantee no one at GGG played the fight besides the few designers who made it because they never would've allowed this to go live. It's just silliness.
Funny thing about this guy is that he has so many invulnerbility phases and so much add management that i lost my 16 seconds endurance charges several times during the fight which got me killed. Literally lost half my portals to that shit only, even Eradicator wasn't this annoying. Add to that the fact that you can't see shit with all the black in black and you definetely have the worst designed fight ever, not particularly difficult once you know what you're dealing with as his damage is kinda low but still, shitty design.

I agree this fight is poorly designed. It would probably be okay in an MMo as a raid boss where view distance isn't a issue. But those big storms with zero view distance and doing so much damage is a unfair mechanic. Those need nerfed or not take up the entire screen.

Additionally there is no indicator on how to make the guy no longer be immune. I had to look it up to find out you have to stand under him. Mechanics should be something simple to figure out. There was no indicator that it wasn't just something you had to wait for. All in all this is my favorite patch but the fight is lame and not fun.
I agree that fight is not fun. we lose 5 portals cuz of stupid storms. pointless fight. all we have in the end is a good alt f4 ragequit shit game. good work devs

i completly agree with this post, ive had 24 portals(4 whole tries , 3 at around level 5 awaking ,and the last one at 0) to this boss 75% of my deaths were pure bs, like old blighttown kind of bs.
-the voids are way to huge(and the hitboxes are not precise enough) , the damage is way to high , their movement seems semi-random at best.
-the intermission which is to hard to understand ( my best guess is that u get pushed away and have to walk back to him as soon as the void he spawned disappears).
- the intermissions also come at either weird timings or random intervalls.

i really like a hard boss fight,but i like to die to mechanics that i can see and could avoid but wasnt able to but this boss doesnt offer this

all the other conqueres are amazing fights with perfectly telegraphed ability with fair damage and interesting ability design , i dont get why this boss couldnt be like that,

i hope to see changes to this boss.

well when i read the dev manifestation i already knew things in this league where gonna be fucked up but didn't knew it was this bad.

Normaly when you lvl and run true teh acts it will take you like 8 hours or so but this time i needed allot more... i agree that bosses health etc needed to be buffed but not for ACT bosses etc ... do it for the map bosses for endgame and then not to speak of the redicilous damage thats going on...

This was supposed to be a bow league... most streamers are playing still minions cause bows are trash... look at the HC streamers how they are struggling killing bosses etc... how are we casuals are going to be able to kill them ? i love to play cyclone or some ranger build but meh its kinda hard etc and not rly fun..

So conclusion: Bosses are overtuned and other stuff over nerfed. and other builds then minions are probably not gonna be viable to do endgame...

and i dont realy want to play minions... its so boring just running around and let your minions do there thing. what a great gameplay to get into endgame...
