" Not gonna lie. Barring those hazards, the fight looks a hell of a lot easier than Uber Elder due to lack of a tag team spamming projectiles everywhere and very noticeable (not storm) ground hazards. GGG might nerf the hazards later. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish. Last edited by Pizzarugi#6258 on Dec 19, 2019, 12:07:50 PM

" Hmmm check how waggle just ripped, it seems much sketchier than UElder to me. Can't imagine doing this shit as a melee character lol. That laser comes super fast, and is extremely deadly, you need to turn around the boss constantly as soon as you think he's about to do it pretty much. " Skeletons kinda seem to be the *easiest* way to take him down so far. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

"The problem is that barring those hazards is not reasonable to do. From watching these videos, it's apparent that they can kill you quickly when you're well outside their visual effect. There is no safe part of the screen, ever. Uber Elder allowed skilled players to manage their position and stay out of the fuck-you beams. If you weren't skilled, (me) you could brute force it with minions and having the right flasks to hammer. There's ample time to hit whichever part of the team can take damage once you understand the shape and timing of the attacks. The problem with Sirus isn't anything he or his projection are doing directly. You can't even address him because he's in the middle of five of the anomalies from Stalker at all times. " Tell it to my golemanser. I don’t have to sell everything and spend currency, simply because "Skeletons kinda seem to be the * easiest * way to take him down so far". I am a golemanser and want to kill the boss on my build. |

The fight is an absolute mess and I don't know where to begin.
First off, the degen storms are bigger than their visual appearance. You can stand a few exiles' length from the sfx and suddenly burn to death for no adequate reason. Second, why are they so damn big? Most bosses have small arenas and predictable environmental hazards, if any, and the size is appropriate for the arena they are located in. Sirus' storms are gigantic and move around making it a roll of the dice if you have any breathing room whatsoever to dodge the boss' attacks. And speaking of, the boss' projection attacks are some of the most unfair garbage I've seen in a game, being just bullet hell one-shot mechanics that you have to bait so as to not be trapped.. and this guy, as far as I saw, has three of them. Three! Talk about overcompensating. Sure, you have to bait attacks in encounters like Shaper/Elder, but the visuals are clean and they only have one attack to bait between the two of them. It's nice that the view zooms out to let you see more of the arena during those phases, but it's all for naught when we've got black and red telegraphs on black and red environments with black and red lighting with his storms' big fat asses blocking the view no matter how far the screen zooms out. Then, the game zooms in when he's targetable again only for his projection to continue attacking with telegraphs you can't see anymore. Worst of all, the game has the gall to have you respawn and kill three more conquerers if you lose this dumpster fire of a boss fight. You don't have the opportunity to run the boss back to back in order practice and learn from your mistakes. There's a lot of cool stuff from this encounter from the rewards to the soundtrack to how it essentially makes mapping the 11th act by having an actual impact on the in-game world. Unfortunately, everything good surrounding the encounter is buried underneath bad design and grind. |

" So you want to take the endgame boss wearing a Tabula Rasa ? Seems fair to me that you should have troubles with that. I would drop clayshaper to use a +1 wand with minion bonuses btw, you already have enough golems, increasing their damage / stats might just be better. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading. Last edited by Fruz#6137 on Dec 19, 2019, 12:25:40 PM

" Yes, my gear is far from perfect, but do you understand that first of all golems die when I try to run next to a storm? When I get to the boss, my golems are gone! I’ll get a better gear a bit later, but this does not negate the fact that golems die on the way to the boss. I have nothing to do damage. |

This boss fight is infuriating and as much fun as a vasectomy.
Its a shame that the incredible Uber Elder fight was replaced with this as the new end fight. It lacks everything that the Elder had: awesome music, visiuals and atmosphere, increasing difficulty during the fight, minions to get flask charges, degen you could avoid, room to maneuver... Its ridicolous that the most of the arena is full of whirling brown sh... where you can't barely move. No fun at all and it seems that one can't progress with the watchstone atlas unlock unless you go and fight the boss. Its a huge disappointment and the worst part in this expansion. |
