Some bosses overtuned.

After 30 mins of trying to kill the val oversoul I enlisted the help of a friend in maps for the task. He got one shot walking through the door. I don't want to say the current bosses are bad but.....

I have put 1500 hours into this game and I feel completely inadequate even on a bow build. If your hope is to bring fresh blood into the game this is about as opposite of that as you can get. This isn't fun. It's infuriating.

dominus is a fucking madman again. that whole fight is nuts.

ya like i don't mind things being 'harder' and taking awhile to kill. i actually like how things are taking to kill, but without defenses to rely on this is just path of one shots. i saw it coming, and now im experiencing it even on a build where im doing my best to play as tanky as i can

i can't say too much about things because its so early in the game, but i know this is by a MILE the hardest time i've had leveling.
im about to go back to my trusted tried and true build and see the difference with him (toxic rain raider).

Im now in 4 act.So far i can tanking every boss.

Good. That's why they were called "bosses". Can't wait to get home to play.

Apparently Vaal Oversoul is bugged sometimes. Just watched a dozen twitch clips of streamers getting annihilated. When he bugs he shoots his beam about 50 times a second.

I feel like piety in act 4 is bugged also. She suddenly got super fast to where it was impossible to avoid her beam and it one shot me the second it touched me. Went back and she was at normal speed again(had 2k hp and steelskin up).

Everything still seems as easy as before.

If everyone is trying to level with bows... it's worth remembering that bows are the hardest thing to level with. They get super OP later but early they're pretty bad for single target.

Maybe invest in defence instead of damage?

love when ppl just say stuff like this, completely unknowing to what the builds are etc.

there is clearly a difference in experience depending on builds though. again this was very clearly going to happen when you read patch notes.

Is this a troll post? I read this before getting to the pyramid so I timed my Vaal Oversoul kill and it was 48 secs. I don't know about Metamorph being a bow league (I kinda have my doubts) but going with a necro witch with SS (7 skeletons) + SRS (11 spirits) + self casting Freeze Pulse Vaal went down nice and fast. Only change I saw was the falling rocks are closer in on the Oversoul so the old technique of being close to avoid getting hit doesn't work any more (that's ok). Then I got Piety down to below 1/2 health and she teleported out in < 1 minute too. Marceus (big lightning statue dude in the Marketplace) also got frozen and gang banged to death < 1 minute.

So far I'm really liking Metamorph challenge league. No problems yet even with minion nerfs. All the Metamorph battles are appropriately challenging and fun. The new Frontblink quick teleport (functions like a quick dash with phasing) is great to jump to the other side of the nice and slow wind up monster attacks (perfect way to dodge).

So far working my way through act 3 I'm loving Metamorph League. 0 DCs too now that I found out last league that all my headaches with Networklayer went away when I turned off Lockstep and went back to Predictive Mode (very little rubberbanding).
