labyrinth is piece of shit i have ever seen in all games i have ever played.
" This is correct and desirable behavior, from my point of view. Player who can't overcome Labyrinth challenge are not players which this game need. retired from forum because of censorship and discrimination

" Not true, we still need those players as well, but they won't get the rewards and possible drops from it in the future. SO they have an option to avoid lab, but will miss a lot of things along the way :). Seems okay with me. GGG thank you for all the great things you are doing. You have combined every element of all other great Rpg's and joined them together as one Diamond, that will shine Forever.
This is coming straight from the heart <3 |

why you have to be mad, it's just a game.
like for real, if u cannot make it through the first lab, then either your build has serious issues or your character progression isn't good enough or you need more practice the first time I did lab I also died multiple times, but if you complain about it rather than trying to get better, it's your fault, sorry change the approach you play a game, poe is by no means a game that kisses your ass or holds your hand while giving you good stuff - work for it and be rewarded IGN PoE 1: @FluffyMetamorph

Welcome to POE. At this game you will permanently run into a wall and have to figure out ways to climb it. If you search for a nonchallenging game that takes you by the hand and guide you carefully to the end boss, than you properly should try out Diablo 3 instead.
When you rage about a low tier lab while even haven't finished the tutorial (Acts 1-10), than you anyway will quit POE sooner or later. "actually i dont want to be good at playing any games, i m in no way as a competitive player either. i just want to play the game and enjoy it." This game isn't for you. "uninstalling now." Bye, have a nice day. "The master has failed more times than the beginner has even tried." - Stephen McCranie

If the OP is still here I can run him through lab.

Dodging boss oneshot slam is normal but dodging 2-shot spikes in the lab is entirely different platform game, right?

" funny but that is exactly why Diablo franchise is better than this believe it or not. cause it does not force your to do what you dont want to do and still give you joy. i played diablo 3 until it start to get boring, but at least i have enjoyed for 12 seasons. i dont enjoy playing this POS at all, so i left at level 48, prob couple of hours of playing. i m gonna give grim dawn a try. you dont have to tell me, i have already uninstalled this game the reason i posted here was because this is where you give feedback, and for the sake of my 20 bucks, i do feel i m obligated to give some feedbacks, not that i really care about 20 bucks. i occasionally check back this post is just for fun. i have to say this, people here are pretty nice. thanks for all the comments. might see some of you guys in Diablo 4 :) |

Come on bro lab is like one of the most enjoyable things of this game its like you go in as some dude and go out as a new person and you feel like you EVEN deserve it all the fucking time even if its your 50th char or whatever.

" This is about the normal lab Trap gauntlets in there are vey basic, and unless you're completely high, drunk or disabled, this should not be much of a problem, especially after the 5th time. It would be like somebody consistently dying to pack of bearers in maps and complaining that the game requires too sharp reflexes lol, that would be ... " That's pretty toxic. GGG expects you to put a minimal amount of effort to get through the campaign at least. Don't like it ? I guess that's too bad then. " It is enough in line with the rest of the game. Plus, by extending your logic, Delve is also core progression as it gates some recipes, and could be considered "not in line" with the rest of the game by some too. Incursions also. They are not as important as ascendancy points, but they still gate crafting mechanics. (some) People really need to stop thinking that their vision is the absolute truth and how the game SHOULD be ffs. If GGG considers that the Labyrinth belongs in their game, as an element of the core progression, then it does, period. " A completely hollow statement we have here. " Who ? When ? Clip ? SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

For the record, I did want to go into specifics but I felt that the responses would ignore the general point I was trying to make that just because something conceptually belongs in the game doesn't mean that it is by default something well done. This was definitely a mistake on my part.
But I think I can better clarify, the labyrinth's level hazards and puzzles are absolutely something that belongs in an RPG, but do I think they're implemented well? No, I genuinely think they designed the traps around the trials you find but couldn't really think of how to escalate the difficulty from there so there are trap layouts that are cluttered with damage hitboxes. They did add actual difficulty progression where Normal and Cruel lab slowly introduce features and only Uber Labyrinth's traps are really a problem since that is the only difficulty where you actually have to really deal with them- however they never really actually improved the hazard level design itself. It kind of felt like they gave up there and just minimized how often you have to encounter the traps throughout a character's life span. Anyway, yes, I probably moved the goal posts there by saying "traps" instead of "labyrinth" as the main thing I don't consider being well done despite being conceptually suited to an RPG, but honestly, traps are basically what the Labyrinth is. Without that it is just a very long dungeon with a multi-phase boss. Dangerous moving objects are the Labyrinth's identity to me. Last edited by VolcanoElixir#1787 on Nov 27, 2019, 1:20:46 AM
