Biggest LIE in PoE HisStory
" Quite opposite. Against OPs expectation, devs read WHOLE threads. Where they can clearly can see, there supporters for both removing death penalty, and keeping it. It would be actually sad if devs would lazily read only the topics, and would assume that's what community actually wants. Last edited by Redwyrm#7685 on Nov 19, 2019, 6:51:58 PM

" China is China... but western world comunity would riot against that. So far PoE don't even have xp boosters, which is super common thing for f2p games, even most successful ones, like Warframe. (and that actually would be something that would ease the matter of death penalties) |

Idk, EXP loss on death seems fine to me.
A lot of players who've complained about deaths tend to have builds that focus on too much damage. Upon closer examination on those builds, they tend to be poorly optimized or the primary skill is one that could use a rework or a buff. You add in resistance problems, lack of currency, etc., and it just sort of snowballs and those players have a rough time advancing in the Atlas. For those who do not have those problems, getting to lv. 98+ isn't that big of a deal. There's a divide. My suggestion: Lower EXP lost after a "recent" death, and continue lowering such that losses become less severe. The first death could be 10%, then 5%, and halved for each consecutive death. "Recent" would refer to some amount of EXP or percentage of EXP gained since the last death. After that threshold has been passed, loss resets to 10%. This could be set up in a way where EXP gained would be marginally easier than the current setup. I wouldn't make it much easier than the current setup. |

" How DARE you blame the precious players? It's NEVER the player's fault, always GGG's. Between crashes, performance issues, difficulty, poor balance, the color of Japan's flag, the political situation in Hong Kong and the snowy mountains in Norway, only no-lifers and white-knights can POSSIBLY reach level 100, because it's close to IMPOSSIBLE because of the XP penalty. It is known. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
