Was the twitch scam intentional or unintentional

The only thing they should've done was to give 1 guaranteed drop after 5,5h of watching if you haven't received 1 drop in that time.

That's all.

it's really simple, let me lay it out for you

time wasted from watching stream for loot

time > money = scam

also, lying = bad

people don't like to be lied to, it's bad :(

Scam. You were scammed? What are you out?

15 hours of time. You know, that thing worth more than money we all have a limited amount of to spend

You spent 15 hours watching something you didn't want to watch in order for a chance at some cosmetics you probably wouldn't want to wear.

yeah its okay to lie to your fans/playerbase in order to artificially pump up your relevancy on twitch. oh wait...

also just leaving this here, a poll taken on reddit on how long watched and how many rewards received take a look

Am I the only one who watched like an hour or 2 total but had the stream running 24/7? All these people complaining that they wasted 15 hours... nobody said you have to be watching... the stream just had to be on.

And FYI, I got 5 drops.

I'm really amazed by all this.
People accusing of being scammed and to prove it saying that they left the pc turned on the whole night while they were sleeping. As they weren't supposed to actively watch the stream in order to get the chance to win a few pixels (yes you are supposed to, that's why the away and the mute thing).
The chat on the twitch live event was one of the most horrible thing I ever seen in my whole "online gaming experience". And just to be clear, I've played my first online game back in 1998 (Ultima Online) when most of these people were probably still in the sky waiting to be alive. There's a riot for a few pixels, and they are saying us that's a matter of PRINCIPLES. When they are in their bedroom while outside the world is fucking every principles of humanity lol.
I've started playing 6 months ago, never really got into forum cause of time/age. The last few days got more into it cause I was interested in getting info about the new expansions and I can definitely say that the average topics and behaviours in this forum are very, very low and toxic.
Anyway, I've watched the stream (not very much into this Twitch thing, only used a couple of time), very happy for 4.0 and absolutely enthusiastic about 3.9. Didn't get any free pixel till now. No problem at all.

Last thing: I'm a lawyer, if you accuse with no proof someone to attempt to scam you, you can be prosecuted.

Just saying.

I am honestly really amazed at people not understanding what the problem is. yes it was a scam. they knew the drops were bugged, they did not openly admit that to the community because they knew the viewership would plummet. so they covered it up with "hey we doubled the drop rate!" which is debatable. they had a scheme put together to keep people viewing the entire stream: rng loot rewards. they were dishonest about their scheme properly working/actual odds as support on day 1 said it was bugged, then on day 2 said everything was fine. I have posted a poll that shows at least 1800 people tuning in for 16 hours and 78% of them getting nothing.

go look up the definition of scam. because that is what this is. also if you really are a lawyer it is absolutely pathetic that you can't understand from a public relations standpoint how any of this is bad or at least unprofessional

There isn't an oh wait, if you have a problem with people lying to you to sell things you probably need to get rid of everything in your house that has ever been advertised for.

Lul, you apparently were scammed out of all this time but you weren't even watching. There was 80,000 people at the end, all of whom, and more, won stuff they're manually giving out.
Need a new signature, cuz name change. I dunno though. I guess this seems fine. Yeah, this is good.

The word you're looking for is "Prosecuted".

Nice try, though.

Yes, and if it's the only mistake I've done in a language which is not my first one, I'm really happy.
Thank you.
