Was the twitch scam intentional or unintentional

I can't wait until you guys get your stuff. You'll probably lie about it anyways, or not acknowledge it at all. You'll feel like complete dicks though and it'd be funny.
Need a new signature, cuz name change. I dunno though. I guess this seems fine. Yeah, this is good.
I think people need to learn how probability works. GGG was kind of stupid to mention the average player in 5.5 hours thing because people don't think about the non-average. Those are the top of the spectrum and the bottom of the spectrum.

Just because there is a 1.5% chance of getting a drop rolled every 5 minutes doesn't guarantee it. Its not a cumulative roll, someone could roll 1000 times and not see a drop because of the 1.5% chance is rolled every time.

To see it in action take a 100 side dye (or some chance generator from google) and roll looking for two specific numbers, keep rolling until you hit one of those 2.

Those people you see screenshots off getting 10+ drops? Thats some extreme luck but you are also going to have those unlucky ones who get nothing.

Probability wasn't the problem though. The Twitch drops screwed up and they're giving out rewards manually. And people are throwing fits that they aren't getting them instantly when they said they have to give them out to 137,000 people.

If I get anything I'll personally message GGG support in order for them to delete all the MTX from my account.

That's how confident I am in the fact that the majority of people who didn't get drops was due to a technical issue on Twitch's side just like GGG support said.
Yeah agreed. Problem was the RNG... Its hard to know if was indeed a bug or just probability... Avarage is not guarantee. Every 5 mins ur chance still the same (1.5% and 3% on day 2) and it DONT increment if u spend 2 or 10 hours "rolling the dice". Still the same chance every single time. Having more chances to gain (by watching the whole 10 hours) is not the same of 100% chance to win... U rolled the dice 120 times and didnt got the roll in any.

Next time is better to give a guaranteed reward like watch 1 hour and gain X, 2 hours to gain Y etc. Dont make these event rng... this cause a lot of frustration.

I didnt got anything too, Im ok with that but even so I understand that it indeed leaves a bad taste u feel "unlucky". So to avoid this dont do rng events, the game already have plenty of this lol

Did you even bother reading the part where the issue was never probability but the fact that there's a regular bug with Twitch Drops that just doesn't register people for loot at all? As in, it could be 100% chance every 5 minutes and they would still get nothing.

I feel like people like you are purposefully dodging the actual issue we're complaining about just so you can talk about basic math and feel like you're smart for absolutely no reason lmfao.

I just want to say a big thank you to GGG for providing a free stream of their conference to tens of thousands of viewers around the world. They went way out of their way to turn marketing hype for their product into something enjoyable and informational for their fans, wherever they are.

They also gave all of us a chance at some free stuff, which some folks got, and others didn't. Such is the nature of chance. I watched almost all of both days of the stream and didn't get any of the free stuff, but since I understand the nature of probability I'm not surprised nor do I feel cheated.

Looking forward to POE2, even though I think you should have called it 4.0 :)
- here's my sig
To be classified as a scam you most have lost money. Watching the stream cost you $0. Stop.
The only thing they should've done was to give 1 guaranteed drop after 5,5h of watching if you haven't received 1 drop in that time.

That's all.
