Was the twitch scam intentional or unintentional
NOTHING WAS PROMISED. PERIOD. END OF STORY.
you're missing the point that NOTHING was 100% guaranteed. You didn't get anything, deal with it. It didnt say hey watch this and you are 100% going to receive a free bonus. What you "think" means absolutely nothing. The hard fact is you arent entitled to get anything at all. I didnt get anything and I watched the entire 2 days. I didnt win any BONUS FREE side chance. oh no my life is over I must go complain and demand I also get it for free cause some people won it... people like you is why companies stop doing these sorts of things. |

" Good. We all wish they would stop with scummy things like this. Also the amount of ppl missing the point in this thread is quite telling |

People like me? I've put money into the game. I'm a consumer. And as someone who supports this company, i dont like being lied to or led along in order to boost twitch views. They worded their post to basically say "youre not promised loot, but it will be an extremely extremely low chance you wont at least get something" which is completely untrue based on how many people watched both days and got jack shit. People like me and other consumers that dont appreciate being lied to are exactly why companies dont do things like this. Because scamming your loyal consumers always backfires

" People aren't missing the point. You feel you were promised something. You feel someone didn't deliver on those promises. You feel 'betrayed', and some of you actually think someone scammed you by intent. The thing most people are reacting to, is why the hell anyone would make such a big deal about it. It's free stuff for watching game-related stuff. Some people got A LOT, some people got nothing, which is the definition of "average". Maybe GGG fucked up somewhere. Maybe Twitch fucked up somewhere. But no one SCAMMED you. Hell, most people who were there for the free stuff, had the stream on in the background anyhow, and didn't "sacrifice" shit. Get over it. The word "chance" and "average" were mentioned, meaning you're not entitled to shit. Get over it. Move on. Don't be so butthurt for not "winning". " Not. Promised. Anything. And still, you go on and on? For gods sake, grow up. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile. Last edited by Phrazz#3529 on Nov 17, 2019, 12:53:02 PM

If people need a reward, then maybe they should find a game they are actually interested in.
We got the same thing with races and other events. Some people won't do it without some kind of reward. WTF? Is the game really so horrible that they can't play because they enjoy it? |

I'd say partly intentional.
They knew about the issue prior to the event and chose not to set a safety net in place for those who would surely be affected by the problem. Otherwise, the fact that people aren't being detected at all is supposed to be Twitch's fault. GGG aren't any better for ignoring the issue for their own benefit though. Ignore the idiots who call out about "entitlement" and "it was free stuff stfu". They simply don't realize the value of principle. It's not that they didn't get anything, it's that a bug prevented them from ever having the chance to roll for anything. To all the moronic boomers, I invite you this read this reddit thread which goes in detail about the technical issue: https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/dx95gx/twitch_drops_its_not_about_the_odds_its_about_not/ Last edited by Zykor#0921 on Nov 17, 2019, 1:05:01 PM

There also was a HUGE DELAY in getting rewards sent out, to people that are eligible.
How do i know?? because i got a reward late last night. The timestamp on the system message is 4am EST. Thats four hours AFTER the day2 stream ended. |
