PoE 2 needs an Auction House

I think if anything we need a more secure trade window that has more information on hand.

An example: The level, quality, etc. of a item are always shown on the side during a trade and highlight red if changed. Pretty much the same that happens now but the information is clear to see without hovering each time. End of the day GGG cannot really police trade scams which is a shame.
We don't NEED anything. You WANT an AH, sure, you're allowed to want it. Some people even THINK they want it, but in reality, they don't.

I've been playing for years without one and have never felt like I NEED one. My stance has always been: If an AH is "make or break" for you, you're relying too much on trade. Easy as that. Chris has been pretty clear: Trade is in the game to give items value, not to give players access to everything they want, when they want it.

People call it "old fashioned". I call it smart.

No it doesn't.
No auction house or any automated crap.

I totally understand why GGG doesn't want to implement anything like that. What I would like to see tho is basically an ingame trade site, functioning the same way the third party sites we use right now work (or even GGGs own trade site that we had for a while now). Same goes for stuff like Trades Companion or the Trade Macro, PoB or Loot Filters. I would really like to have stuff like that ingame. That would be an improvement IMO, because I could finally do all of those things ingame, without having to tab out all the time and resort to third party tools.

It would also make a lot of things easier for newer players. I hated it that when friends of me showed interest in the game, some of the first things I had to do was send them to other sites and github and tell them to install this and this and this and this if they want to play properly and do things like I do em... That totally repels people who just started to show interest.

yes
My end, it justifies my means,
All I ever do is delay,
My every attempt to evade,
The end of the road
And my end....

As long challanges require trading, it is a must have feature. I played for 2 months and I still sit at 22, as the maps I need don´t drop or certain monsters don´t appear.

Yes, "if X", then trading is required. But an AH is far from required.

No, it dose not, Blizzard agree that auction houses suck balls (and they are NOT going that route in d4)
The 7+ years of previous NO you are not getting an auction house has not changed and will NOT change any time in the future.
