Thanks for baiting me GGG and lesson learned.

You're mad about that?
Someone's evil twin.
I'd hate to be the parents of a lot of the kids here at Christmas, imagine the amount of tantrums that were thrown when Santa didn't bring them what they wanted.

Not mad, more dissapointed. I have supported the game with 10x more than the cost of an AAA game.
I have enough points to buy mtx

So that is not the point. I think this entire thing was not fair to begin with and think in the end they just send drops random. I believe they said the chance to get nothing after watching for so many hours was nothing so how is it that so many people got nothing after watching for so many hours

I generally don't get anything on Christmas because my family is poor so getting the loot would be an early and possibly only christmas present but GGG aren't my parents so it's fine, at least I am getting the new league and atlas update, something to keep my mind off my shitty life.

Someone broke down in another thread that the chance to get nothing watching every minute of the stream was 1.8%. So 1.8% of their viewers were going to be unlucky and get nothing, doesn't sound like much with that number right? But with the amount of viewers they had that would be between 900-2000 people not receiving a reward.

I think they thought and RNG reward based system would be fun for their viewer base since they play a game that is so heavily influenced by RNG.
We can actually be happy with this twitch drop drama thing, this will purge Path of Exile of all those crybabies who outrage for such a meaningless issue.

The community can only prosper. Thank you Twitch and GGG!

quite the opposite but they will push more microtransactions if there's less people buying their things.

Poe 0.2/10

Returning to poe in 3.27: ATROCIOUS game performance, 5/10 league and I apprently missed the loot back in the last league. The more things change the more they stay the same..
I got a drop yesterday (Yay!), so they must have still be working through the backlog from the ExileCon stream:

You found an item from Twitch Drops

Why do you think they offered MTX freebies to Twitch viewers, if not to increase their total views?

A simple gesture. A thank you. You guys blow it up ad absurdum .. it's just incredible. Like I said I hope they wont do it ever again since obviously modern gaming communities cannot handle this at all. I did not even know about those drops until I seen all these fetuses here raging.

I'm absolutely blown away by this community ... I really enjoyed exilecon and I was convinced nothing but positivity can come out of this ...

The one resorting to hyperbole here is you.

I expressed a simple opinion: "The Twitch drops were a promotion designed to inflate the viewer numbers beyond what they would otherwise be." I think any other interpretation is naive at best. Disagree if you like. Nowhere in the CoC is a requirement that all forum users share my opinions.

You're also allowed to consider me a "raging fetus," or hold any other opinion you like.

Edit: I see that some of your posts have been heavily edited by moderators. While I'm not a fan of GGG's highly subjective moderation guidelines, I'm going to assume the moderated bits included some more name-calling. So take a hint. Stop calling people names, and your ability to talk to people in any meaningful fashion will jump by about 500%.
Wash your hands, Exile!
