Twitch Drops

We're talking free drops in a free stream?

If you have to do something to get something it isn't free dude!

Following that logic, ABSOLUTELY nothing is free. But fine, I can live with that. I guess linking accounts, enable drops, press "watch" followed by... Nothing... Is considered "a lot" for many people. I have no statistics (just like you, regarding drops), but I seriously doubt that people complaining watched much of the streams, as much as it was left in the background.

No, they offered some of the content for free, while you needed a so-called "virtual ticket" for a lot of stuff. Get your facts straight if you're going to bash other people's facts :)

When it comes to Twitch Drops, I admit; I have no clue how "usual" it is.

A simple gesture. A thank you. You guys blow it up ad absurdum .. it's just incredible. Like I said I hope they wont do it ever again since obviously modern gaming communities cannot handle this at all

"Thank you" that divides community? Where one players get something, others get even more and others get literally nothing? Is this really a "thank you"?
You also trying to blame a community for this GGG failure, while it was company decision to introduce RNG with inequality and possibility to receive nothing at all. I already linked example of good "Thank you" from Warframe on the TennoCon this year. They didn't blamed community, they fixed the issue with drops, they re-investigated later issues and added missing drops, they made GUARANTEED EQUAL DROPS FOR EVERYONE in the first place. And no one there blamed players who reported missing drops - moreover developers THANKED those people for reports because that helped find and fix the cause.
Here in PoE you call these people "cry babies", "choosing beggars" or other names because how dare they ask for proper resolution and equal treatment, right?

You are the one dividing here.

[Removed by Support] I mean look at this thread .... holy shit ... no wonder devs prefer reddit and ignore forums I would too.

I dont care about Blizzard and never will. I'm sure they will go full free when the stream of supporters that ready to pay for adverts and promos die down.

Speaking about the facts, you just said, quoting: "GGG made their Exilecon streams free, unlike other companies".
I can quickly name a few other companies that do this for free for years:
EVE Fanfest is free
TennoCon is free
QuakeCon is free
MinecraftCon is free
Citizencon is free (but I wouldn't be surprised if Roberts makes those fanatics pay as well).

Free streams are normal for these types of conventions and it's not something out of this world.

Oh, I took for granted that you understood that by "other companies", I was - in a sarcastic way - referring to Blizzard. I will include a "certain (other companies)" next time.

Anyhow, this is a non-issue in the grand scheme of things. I understand that some people er very hurt by not getting precious drops for their precious time, and that other people are very hurt for the free drops in a free stream weren't "handled with upmost respect" from either GGG or Twitch. But I (seriously) think people making a big deal about this, have issues. Just like me, for debating this at all.

Until next time.

Cry babies complaining about something as trivial as some twitch loot freebies are simply batshit crazy. I mean look at this thread .... holy shit ... no wonder devs prefer reddit and ignore forums I would too.

Still hasn't opened Reddit perhaps? A lot of people complaining about the drops there too.

People upset about lack of communication (support was useless when people asked them about absent drops after day 1 and gave contradictory answers).
People complain about badly designed event and drops distribution (two-layer RNG with no guaranteed drops, messed up distribution with impossibly common case being zero drops and 5+ drops on the other spectrum).
People complain about the lack of community management response about the technical problems and weak not well-thought responses that not addressed any question rised ("we distributed all drops, HTFU", "hard luck can't do nothing about it").
GGG fanboy-defenders fail to recognize these points - it's just zealous defense and same theme about "cry babies, mtx hurr durr", no matter what GGG does.
The ExileCon event itself was quite expensive. The stream was just extra advertising for them.
They exploited us to become more visible on twitch for 16 hours.
They definitely made money as a result of us all watching so cut the cr*p about it being "free" and how the 0 drop gang are "entitled".

Do you know what entitled means? Because you guys are acting it, that can't be denied.
Someone's evil twin.
Well I understand those that are upset.

The wording by GGG did suggest, that you get a reward after 5.5 hours or sooner. In my case, that exactly worked as announced, since I got three drops for 16 hours of watching.

If someone did watch for that long, the drops should be there too, no excuses.
Had the stream on for every minute they aired om both dates and got nothing.
Thanks for baiting me GGG and lesson learned.

I do not like spending my money on companies that trick me so guess i will save some money now and share my support elsewhere
