What is wrong with the strongboxes?

I think strongboxes are totaly broken in this game and should be fixed. I'm a totally overgeared necomancer and farm any part of the content which i want with my 15k ehp and max resistances. But that damn strongboxes are pissing me off with constant losses of exp.

And now i have encountered one that oneshooted me, my Animated Guardian with the gear of 10 exalts+ and who NEVER DIED for 100 hours+ of endgame content gameplay, my Carrion Golem and half of my zombies. WTF??? This shit isn't so much rewarding in order to come to a such risks.

Please do something, because there is no something in this game which brings so much pain and frustration.

Playing characters considerably worse geared than yours, I haven't been killed by a strongbox in a very long time. I don't think there's anything wrong with them from a balance standpoint. If this happens to be a weakness of those otherwise ridiculously OP summoner class -- oh well?

maybe he isnt using a anti freeze flask XD
without one you can die very easy if you open unided boxes

What??? Idk, maybe you play white maps only. Anyway before saying smth about balance tell how is that possible that my overgeared 23/23 AG with tons of HP, hp regen, ful res, meat shield support, fortify and other things GET ONESHOTED by damn strongbox on REGULAR MAP. Not Uber Elder, Uber Atziri, Delve 1k+, no... He can survive all this things, no... Just damn regular t16 map.

I permamently lost 10 exalts + just in one second. And for what??? Rewards from these chests are absurdly stupid. Maximum what you can get is the bunch of Div cards. Is it worth?
I'm just puzzled now.

How to safely open T16 strongbox --

1. Activate all flasks, one of which includes a freeze immunity.
2. Click the box.
3. Use instant movement skill to get at least half a screen away. Use convocation to bring your minions with you.

And... you are safe!

I checked your build and it appears you were so greedy for clear speed you neglect to have even an unlinked Flame Dash. That would fix your problem.
You still not written it out clearly, what mod killed You, but my guess is detonate corpses mod.

If You cannot handle them, then ID them always and skip the ones You do not like. Or practice more, and spot the few deadly mods on them immediately upon opening and act accordingly ASAP.

I did not die to a strongbox for a very long time, for me, the only mods to watch out are the detonate corpses (move away), explodes (move away), casts ice nova (move away) and freezing on opening (have an anti-freeze flask). Nothing else is really dangerous on them and by time You are able to spot these few problematic mods in a milisec to easily avoid them.
All-time non-streamer luckless dropless rewardless tons-of-time-playing non-TFT-er 100% solo player.
So, it just turns out, we were lied to for years with the promises of a two-storied one PoE 4.0.
All these worse and worse beta leagues, all these braindead changes, all lead to this.

you dont even have to spot them since the only reaction it needs to prevent all of these from killing you,is using an anti frezee flask and a movementskill to get out.
it simply doesnt matter if its dd,nova or explosion all require the same reaction.

Yes, i think it was detonate corpses, what else it can be? Thank you for your answer, now i know a little bit more about strongboxes. I thought that there are only two things that could kill well adjusted AG: HOGM map, and some spots at very deep delve. But don't you find illogical that one simple strongbox with some alchemist orb reward stands in one row with that? Ok, lets leave AG. Is the reward of 1 alchemist orb or other trash that is usually dropped out of these boxes worth 10% of exp on 95+ level? Can it be more dangerous than Uber Elder beams? I can survive a couple of them, but direct explosion without flasks or other active defencive skills - just instadeath. No matter what amout of ehp do u have. This is just absurd.
