Challenger Charge are worse than Tailwind (Gathering Winds)
" Riiiight, and it was on another account or a character, and on top of that it's not in any ladder of course. No, everything you are saying smells of blatant inexperience, charges in general in PoE are easy to sustain in the current iteration of the game, and charges that need either : - 1 ennemy killed within 10 seconds in sand stance - on average 4 hits on any rare or unique ennemy ( not necessarily the same one ) within 10 seconds in blood stance Are piss easy to sustain, this isn't event remotely debatable, where keeping up tailwing requires one to constantly keep using skills with little interruption to keep it at max stacks, if you get stunned or need to tempo or dodge something and stop using skills for 1~2 seconds ( which is anything but unusual in dangerous situations ), half of your stacks are gone already. On top of that, you can't see the number of stacks your character currently has with gathering winds as far as I remember, or were you even aware of those stacks ? Because that's what this conversation has been about, but given your inexperience you might not even be aware of this ... " I have nothing to add to this, you should reaaaally think about what you're writing here before you do, because it's getting more and more ridiculous. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading. Last edited by Fruz#6137 on Nov 8, 2019, 5:15:56 AM

" Right back at you. If you don't know shit about the game, don't make stupid suggestions. This entire thread is a compilation of inexperienced rambling. How about you come back for suggestions when you have some experience. Just to put things into perspective for you. I've played this game for 3,900 hours. I can tell when someone lacks experience, and you ooze it out of every single pore of your body. The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

No.1 Delve Duelist (Gladiator) here.
For anyone that missed the weak (yes very weak) Gladiator rework. Challenger Charges were barely a replacement for lost attack speed nerfs from multistrike in 3.7 (must have skill if you play Strike Skills). If anything Challenger Charges can be considered -2 Ascendancy Points for Gladiator and if taxation node Painforged is facotred in (useless) its total of -4 Ascendancy Points for Gladiator. Dont let me start about the blood xplosion part of Gladiator (super useless). Overall multistrike a bit more damage on average sure but in general melee feels more cluncky since patch 3.7 because melee (=strike skills not your cyclone) is a lot slower. The worst part about Challenger Charges is that they are must have pick and require you to use an aura to basically work at all. Playing Gladiatior with Strike Skill and without Challenger Charges is unplayable or in other words you are doing it wrong. Thats my problem with Challenger Charges, yes they are too weak for what was taken away in terms of attack speed and what was given plus factored in the other shitty ascendancy points of Gladiator are basically asking for another Gladiator rework (one trick pony spell block is excluded). Edit: Id prefer complete melee (= Strike Skills) rework though than "must have picks" but thats up to Chris and Rory i guess. Last edited by zzang#1847 on Nov 8, 2019, 6:12:51 AM

" Where does it says that Tailwind gives MORE of anything? Tailwind INCREASES action speed up to 100%. Glad Challenger Charges give MORE. |

" That is a much more valid concern there. Gladiator has very good defensive nodes and also has one of the strongest clearing keystone in the game, you can't have both + challenger charges tho. However, the melee "rework" of the Cyclone league ... yeah, what a fiasco ... SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.
