computer specs
The graphics demand a Direct-X 9c capable GPU so at least a ATI X1000 (lowest 9c GPU is the RV515, the equivalent at Nvidia would be the geforce 6 series)
And, different from the information on MMOhuts, I could POE not even start at a W2k machine. invited by timer @ 10.12.2011

Minimum requirements are 2gb ram and pixel shader 3... that won't make the game playable though... just 'run'.
I would have at least the 2gb ram, turn on garbage collection with -gc 1 or 2, then have a graphics card of Nvidia 8000 series or better. An enthusiast 7k series would work too potentially for a relatively smooth experience. I've only heard of the 6k series being nearly unplayable. I have my work laptop and was curious if you guys think it might work for this game. It's the Acer Aspire 5253 series bz660 ... It only has an AMD dual core 1ghz processor 2gb ram and 320gb hd. The graphics card is The ATI Radeon hD 6250... I know pretty low specs but I got sc2 to run alright on the lowest settings! Haha and if not maybe my MacBook on bootcamp could run it? Probably not... Thanks in advance for the reply!

" I put it on a HP laptop with similar specs, slightly better processor, to see what it would do. Yeah it ran alright on the very lowest settings but not for long... Bring me my bow of burning gold

I was just having loads of lag in the dark forest and thought 'WTH, lag on my PC????!!!!1111'.
Game settings are maxed at 1920x1200 plus 8x AA and 16x AF. My specs ae I7 980 @ 4.3 Ghz, 12 Gb ram, SLI GTX 560 ti. I opened up MSI afterburner to see what was going on. Only 700 Mb vram being used, but my second card was sat on 0% usage :( SLI / Crossfire support is needed please. I know it's not a laptop, but just to give you a basis on min spec. I'm running PoE on a 12 year old dell desktop comp. I have a pentium 4 3.2ghz single core processor, 4 gig of ram nvidia 8600 gt 512mb video card running windows xp. I average 30-50 fps with lowest settings. I would drop down to 1-5 FPS in places like the forest/dark thicket until I turned off shadows. Now I only really lag when I have global chat enabled and someone spams a lot of WTS items.
Hope this helps. Luke: Sorry we have to leave you here, but it just ain't right to eat your wife's and daughter's brains. Plus you're really disgusting and I don't want to spend anymore time with you.

I'm currently running the game on an e8400 with a gtx 580 (sold my i7 in preparation for ivy ;P).
Game runs flawlessly and have yet to see my fps drop below 60 which makes me think the game runs much more heavily on the gpu than the cpu. |

"The requirements posted on mmohut are bull. My friend runs this game on a celeron dual core @ 2ghz has a 8000 series nvidia card and 2 gb ram and he's forced to play at minimum or else it stutters. This game asks for more than it lets us guess. Last edited by thyshaw#5966 on Apr 12, 2012, 8:24:05 AM

I might have to install this on my windows 98 system....
but I am so FRIGGIN sick of people calling CELERONS / DURONS / SEMPRONS cpus.... Those are POS that allows for someone to call it a computer and should not be used for Multi Tasking / Games. These were really for GRANDMA / GRANDPA to get online and check their email with or play Yahoo Games. Next we will have people stating their ARM system cannot run it and its the lastest /greatest thing on the market. " Are u nuts? How shallow are u , really? Celeron is a perfectly good CPU for low end gaming niche. Are u even aware that the latest Celeron cpu's use the latest SandyBridge chipset? Same as i5's and i7's. |
