League's unique items economy, as always, broken as f*

First off, I am going to say that I have no problem with the top tier/luxury items being very hard to get and even almost impossible.

Second, I also do not have a problem with people that play all the time getting more drops. Especially since that gives them a lot more "chances" for something to drop.

However where the problem for me lies is in the vast range of RNG. I have people, in my group, that are extremely casual and will end almost every league with 30+ exalts and several Shaper/Uber runs. That is generally with no more than 2-3 builds and none above 95. Then in the same group, we have people that will play a ton more and end up with several high level builds and do end game runs and will maybe get 5 exalts. It would be one thing if it changed around from league to league, but this is 5 years and same results every time. Even leagues where the casual and serious layers were running same builds with very similar quality% items.

RNG is fine, but the valley between good and bad RNG is way too big. Not to mention, if it was true RNG that would not be the case, where it carries over for 5+ years. That tells me that the GGG RNG is not real RNG.

For me, I tend to be somewhere in the middle. I will generally end a league with 20-30 ex, full Atlas clear, etc. on about 2-4 builds. I am pretty casual. However my best friend who plays with me and has literally spent $2k on POE has never had more than 5ex in a league and plays 3x the amount of time I play and usually has better builds than me. So go figure. We are both Closed Beta players, so this is over a very long span of time. He's pretty much moving on from POE, which sucks.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
Level 93, 4 exalt drops, a Doctor card, 10 exalts worth of currency and another 15ish exalts in items traded, I could easily buy many Oils from trade if I wanted BUT... I have had zero Silver or Gold oils drop yet. I don't mind grinding a little and RNG is a factor, but I think these oils are stupidly rare for being the primary focus of the league. I shudder at the thought of SSF this league...

We don't need oils to drop more, we just need more Blighted maps to drop and naturally we will get more oils and better chance at higher level oils, but as it stands, I've only gotten 5 blighted maps to drop as well. Might as well just call this league STANDARD cause you're almost getting the same thing. Might as well just go play standard this league I guess or wait to see if the the next one sucks as bad.

@Miasma -- Are you doing T13+ maps? If you're not running T13+ maps, then you're likely not gonna find squat in terms of silver/gold.

On my end, I've found 6 silvers, of which I upgraded 3 silver -> 1 gold. It seems to be okay..
I'm running high tier maps, juicing them up. Done nearly 100 red maps, prob half of them t13-t15. I'm prob just at the low end of the RNG spectrum as the odds stand currently. Doesn't feel fun to start a new character for a new league and barely see any of the content. I'm no hard core grinder, but I'm not a filthy casual either and there is still plenty of time left in the league if I don't ditch and move on to something else more fun. It just feels wrong this league.

I actually doubt you are that far into the 'low rng' part of the population. I'm at 1 silver 0 gold and easily have 2X as many red maps as you done...

Either that or our oil rng sucks together!

The reason blight uniques are so expensive right now is because of the exploit that allows you to anoint non-blight armor which requires a blight unique to abuse.

This will very likely be fixed soon.
Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me.
