League's unique items economy, as always, broken as f*
" You'd have to be some kind of stupid to take someone up on heir blighted map mirror service, regardless of patch timing. IGN: Arlianth

Its because everyone wants 2 golden oils due to Whispers of Doom. I think GGG needs to adjust offensive curses after this league and take a second look at curse effect and probably reduce it.

" Pretty sure those were being done with the mirror type fossil. To duplicate both a T15 red map + multiple expensive oils at once. |

" Don't forget the 3 '+1 minimum X charge / 5% chance to gain X charge on kill' notables. Those can be quite potent if you don't have ready access to charges by default. |

" Actually the problem with you, is YOU! You have an unrealistic expectation that the theoretical build you made would just be available to you. Path of building is great, and so are build guides, but you don’t have to be a Mensa member to think... hmmm... if these perfect drops are easy to get, would they really be this powerful. That is not to say that you cannot have a goal of getting the items to make your power build but having the entitled attitude you do will just make you more and more miserable sticking around in PoE. There are other games out there that cater to your those with your play style. |

" Cool, the forum ate my reply. Tl;dr - you have access, you just don't want to spend a couple hours grinding for it. Last edited by innervation#4093 on Oct 3, 2019, 6:31:34 PM

" Yes it was being done with fossils. ~ Please separate the PoE1 and PoE2 forums.

" I wasn't trying to misquote you. And, it's not a strawman argument. I do understand the necessity of "the carrot on the stick" to make a game interesting and to provide the player with meaningful goals. And, in a "grinding gear" game, it's critical - We all want to see that long-looked-for item finally drop. Loot 'splosions are our bread and butter. I rewrote a reply several times. Each time it went off the rails... :) So, I'll try to keep this one focused and to the point: In short - Doing more, better, isn't the issue. The game is playing me more than I am playing it. RNG, outside factors like borked build guides by reputable builders who just didn't apply the patch notes correctly, a Marketplace that is a joke, "chase items" that one can chase all day and never, ever, get, no matter how much their character "needs" such a thing to get to the stage where it might drop... Have nots <------------> Haves ^--- That's the line. Whether it's "casuals" compared to "progression guild members" in an MMO or PoE Players compared to Uber-Elder Famers. Not with all Leagues, but with a growing number of them and new patches, those degrees of separation are getting longer and sometimes more difficult to span from the low end to the other. Power Creep, End Game Progression, Gold Sinks, mechanics changes relying on drops/items that become more difficult to acquire, etc... PoE has all of these things. But, it's not stable or predictable. New builds, items, critical drop rates, and the actual activities of other players enter into a complex formula of "Accessibility." If it's a healthy League and everyone is playing it to its fullest? In general, even the players on the far left of the line get to have a good time, too, in such a League. If it's not? That's bad for everyone's gameplay experience for a variety of reasons. And, most of those aren't dependent on whether or not a player plays more, better. The Chase is real. Chase Items/Drops/etc are always somewhere in a League. And, when they're not specifically in the League's mechanics? Other, past, Leagues are incorporated more intimately in terms of their old items/affixes and synergies with new Patch Note changes to give players a "Chase Item" goal. It simply seems, however, that my "game" is more often playing me. It's not about "goals" and putting work into attaining them. It's about having these goals held in front of me and the difficulty in attaining them being more RNG than "skill." Even "Hours Played" can't counter RNG. An unhealthy Marketplace controlled by bots and pricefixers doesn't help at all, either. Players who aren't pushing content or are disinterested in League mechanics do not contribute to its health. That's an aggravating factor, too. /sigh I tell ya what - Disregard my complaints. To be honest, they're nothing special and no different than anything I used to hear from fellow gamers in other games where I was far at the end of the spectrum in terms of being able to experience all that the game could offer. It's a very old story, this Power and Difficulty Creep in such games. GGG has attempted to present gamers with the possibility that it won't always be so bad. We get chances, four times a year, to chase the goalpost once again. And, if RNG is on our side that League? Maybe we'll get to see it all and play it all. Or... not. |

" The whole thing about my thread is: If we are playing bligt league and we are supposed to drop oils, then we should find oils. It should drop more often. Simple. Its like abyss league where we could NEVER find a Lich. I do not understand why New league's things are so rare or expansive like a mirror. Just makes no sense. New league and new stuff so rare like a mirror makes the whole game exactly the same shit. No difference between league and standard. So whats the point? ¬¬" My end, it justifies my means, All I ever do is delay, My every attempt to evade, The end of the road And my end.... Last edited by imLuCaSsS#6273 on Oct 4, 2019, 12:37:53 PM
