Mirrors and scam: Add a mirror service in town
" Good luck scamming me, but, i am just concerned when i see the answers giving to this issue as it will not serve to be in GGG's interest to make a breeding ground for scammers. I am not one moment in doubt that scammers will still laugh in their grave if the argument that: "If you are scammed with no way of protecting yourself, then is it your own fault.", becomes the ruling argument. I am the light of the morning and the shadow on the wall, I am nothing and I am all. Last edited by Crackmonster#7709 on Mar 16, 2013, 1:37:55 PM

" If you don't pay attention while making trades that might result in you losing a significant amount of currency then you're retarded. There's simply no other way around it. It's not hard to avoid getting scammed. And as a poster above me said, Wraeclast is supposed to be unforgiving and hostile. That's the reason behind the loot system after all. Why should this be different? The pen is mightier than the sword, yet it is more permanent than a pencil.

" So you think bringing out dishonesty and encouraging the very worst traits of of human nature is fun. Anytime a human being takes joy/fun in ruining another human being's joy/fun it makes me sick in the stomach. |

The mirror process bypasses the part of a trade where you are able to know the difference between a scammer and a trustworthy person, unless the scammer makes an obvious mistake or with obvious untrustworthy behavior.

" Although I hate scamming, I do agree to an extent that scamming is part of the game. To the extent I agree, is very little. Scamming some small items, yes. That's 'fine'. No major harm done. However, the mirror is the Kevin Bacon of currency. It would be like going to a fine restaraunt with a valet, and they scam you buy taking your change you have between the seats. Sure, go ahead. I hate you for it, but it's very little. However, if they steal my car... that's a problem. I trusted them with a service that we both agreed upon (park my car) and then he stole it. It'll cost me a holy f*** load of currency in order to get my car back, unlike the time it would take to get the change between my seats. edit - also when trading a mirror, you're best to get a good amount of collateral. I'd say make them give you their armor, helm and main weapon for collateral. Last edited by oopomopoo#2093 on Mar 16, 2013, 1:48:32 PM

" Because the loot system involves new stuff, while getting scammed means losing something that was actually yours. Again though, it's easy to be against something like this when you've never been scammed before. ''Stand amongst the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters.
The silence is your answer.'' IGN: Vaeralyse |

" well i would never do such a thing in real life but this is a game where i can be an asshole if i like to |

" That analogy is retarded. In both cases they're stealing from you. Not scamming you. Learn the difference. The pen is mightier than the sword, yet it is more permanent than a pencil.

" Scamming is technically stealing, though. He entrusted those people with his car, just temporarily, just like I can entrust my Mirror with someone just temporarily. Whether it is his car being stolen or my mirror, it is both stealing. ''Stand amongst the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters. The silence is your answer.'' " You betray their trust at the cost of their time and resources equally whether you do it in real life or online. You are basically saying online people are worth less and time people spend online is worth less. I know the two of you are trolling, but, come on.. I am the light of the morning and the shadow on the wall, I am nothing and I am all.
