You don’t know that the 4th specter will be unaffordable. You’re guessing. New wands can roll minion modifiers including +1 gems. Ascendency gives +2 gems. Old methods include corrupting to 21 and empower support to get to level 22 or 23. Level 4 empower can get you to level 24 but indeed that takes luck or currency.
So quit saying you can’t get that 4th spectre until they announce you need gem level 26 to get it.

Its about getting MAX specs for the class...
For all we know 6 specs are doable.
No one said you cannot get a 4th spec...
This whole post is about the ease and economy of running specs. we are losing that.
Currently spec classes are doable with very little itemization to hit max number of specs.
3.8 spec classes WILL need alot of expensive itemization to reach max spec level.
when you need alot of expensive itemization its called "pay to win"

Wait a minute. So now the complaint isn’t that casuals can’t reach the same number of spectres they could before but it’s that they can’t reach the same number as somebody who plays a lot more and this accumulates more wealth and experience?

Raise spectre has a base of two spectres max at lv 11, three at lv 21, and four at lv 31
if that helps any1 who missed it.

I’ll attempt to steelman his position. His basic complaint seems to be that casuals can’t get access to ultra rare gear without RMT so therefore any gear that is hard to get promotes RMT, along with any skill or ascendancy changes that make a rare item more useful to a build.
So basically, you can’t win.

Yepp in short for casuals (no items needed)
gem lvl19 +2 lvl from ascendancy = 3
skill tree = 1
total = 4
For those with credits at least 2 or 3 more from items.
And at gem 31 another one (gotta have to work for that one).
total = 7-8
Im totaly fine with that.
