Oni-Goroshi drop rate is ridiculous.
Og was introduced over a year ago. During that time PoE had many changes in mechanics and among them also was some "toying" witch drop/spawn chances. Probability that something that was said over year ago is still as it was is just small. Very small.
I only pointed some cases, posted some questions and provided a solution to veryfie "how things are". No "how they were" or "how i think they are". And i stated that clearly. On the other hand You (You all) claimed something as if no changes were made during that time. Thats not evidence. At all. You want to prove something? Use scientific method to it, veryfie. I said i would gladly know current situation but i wont invest my time into veryfication. Stop defending Your illusions. Either veryfie reality or dont but be honest with it. PS. I never take things personally. Im interested in information that is rooted in reality, im interested in things as they are. Not as i think they are or someone else thinks as they are or someone says as they are. You understand? Also check posts for "personal invectives" and tell me who used those and in what direction. Your post is not really responding to what has been said. You are the person that has made unfounded assertions/assumptions. I have simply listed the possibilities and stated what is the obvious most likely possibility of those different possibilities.
Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!

" I admire your persistence, lol I have a HCSSF character, that I have the mission on to collect every Unique item in the game. I spend about 6 hours farming that, but then gave in and created 2 more scions. With those 3 characters I managed to rota-farm it in another 3 hours time, and could finally set forth this, what I now believe stupid idea of mine, haha. It's a journey and a half. "There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die. " ~ Hunter S Thompson ~

" I didn't delete them. GGG did. __ Who the heck bumped this? Seriously. There's a GD thread for this. Also, Moon: you know as well I do that all blame regarding the OG grind design lies with me, not GGG. I noticed you seem to be back on that particular soap-box (whyyy!?) so, uh, yeah. Please stop blaming GGG for what I did when I designed the sand-pounding grind. When I considered how the item works and the fact that it shouldn't even exist in Wraeclast, I couldn't conceive of a more appropriate way of getting it than hiding it deep into a trek through many, many alternate reality versions of very early Wraeclast. __ So what the fuck are you kids actually arguing about? From what I can tell, the 'drop rate' of an item that doesn't even have a drop rate. Unless I'm misinformed, Uber Hillock only spawns if you don't have an Oni-Goroshi in your possession, and he always drops Oni-Goroshi after wielding it against you. That said, even if he does spawn against an OG-wielding character, he won't drop it. BUT I should like to think that GGG are smart enough not to spawn a truly unique-wielding enemy against someone already using that unique in a zone they can completely control (i.e. The Twilight Strand). This is all semantics imo. You get one OG per character via Uber Hillock. One way or another. I've been asked if he'll spawn if you found him before but somehow failed to kill him. I have no reason to believe he won't -- you don't have an OG, so the primary condition for his spawning is still met. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

" I wasn't aware I had. But yeah, I jumped in because I think this remains a genuinely interesting question: "Does pain-for-reward have a legitimate role in the design of grindy games?" I copy-pasted the most interesting bits of our conversation on this topic a few pages back (apologies for not asking permission first), in the hopes that someone who disagrees would have something interesting to say (since people who agree are less likely to post something interesting to me personally). Not many bites so far... Edit: It's hilarious how your appearance in this thread shut de99ial right up. Wash your hands, Exile! Last edited by gibbousmoon#4656 on Apr 6, 2020, 11:03:42 PM

Last post here, since I can just communicate with any of you more directly: it's a dead horse as far as I'm concerned. I treat the OG grind like an event. It had a huge launch, then a huge drop-off when the frequency was reduced (bit like lower drop rate on a gacha after the event has ended), and now some die-hard hangers-on. Which is fine, but really, for me it was all about that launch.
OG won't be 'in' PoE '2' anyway, and by then the powerleaps will be so significant as regards skill item linking you might as well consider an inherent 6L item legacy. An antique. A collector's curio. If, indeed, it isn't already. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

It's fine, it was a miscommunication between Chris and I. It's in the past now. :)
I'm hanging in there. Been locked down for almost a month now. Take care over there. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between. I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period. Last edited by Foreverhappychan#4626 on Apr 1, 2020, 11:40:12 PM
