Oni-Goroshi drop rate is ridiculous.
" A more important tweak would be making him eligible to spawn even when you are level 1. Of course he will wreck your shit at that level. That would probably be unacceptable to GGG, because then he will spawn for some poor first-time player somewhere in the world, and then that player is likely lost forever. But having him spawn from level 3 would be a reasonable compromise, I think. (He'll still wreck your shit.) It is the exercise of running the Strand over and over, while knowing that he will not spawn because you need to have run it a ridiculous number of times in order to level up before GGG permits it to happen, that I criticize. Running low-level areas over and over for no other reason than to level up at a snail's pace is a shit experience, period. I often think that Oscar Wilde had the right of it when he said "Life imitates Art far more than Art imitates Life:" [Removed by Support] Let's see if GGG insists on censoring this one as well: Wash your hands, Exile! Considering how many hours of play on average you would need to 6L some other item, farming Oni-Goroshi doesn't seem too bad tbh. I can bet that farming (average) 1000 fusings at the league start takes more time.
Oni is my favorite item in the game and if I would be playing ssf it would be worth farming it. Last edited by TorsteinTheFallen#1295 on Sep 2, 2019, 1:06:39 AM

" This is a faulty analogy, since you literally play the game while acquiring those 1000 fusings. Farming an Oni-Goroshi involves enduring tedium instead of playing the game. (Those rare individuals who enjoy pounding sand for hours on end are the exception, as I mentioned above.) Wash your hands, Exile!

" I agree that your opinion counts for more except I can't really agree with the "unfair" label since it's your dime. :-) Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired! Last edited by Turtledove#4014 on Sep 2, 2019, 1:41:15 AM

" That wouldn't be a good idea, considering how many people start the game anew each league we'd have a burst of those that got wrecked by him and also people that got the sword by just passing through twilight strand, which isn't what the ruler ordered. Maybe it should start lower, at L4 or something, so those that just pass through wouldn't be able to get it but the downtime before there's a chance of something happening is minimized. There's a difference between running with a chance to get uber hillock and running to fulfill a condition to run with a chance to get uber hillock, and GGG likes to give players the opportunity to get disgustingly lucky wherever possible, it's a staple in rng games. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

" No, the best part was removed by support. Huh, was all that in it from the get go? Had to be still asleep to just go over it like that. But, that's good, we saw the same problem with that and suggested the same thing based on similar grounds, that means it virtually can't fail. " snort. They don't like poo. Well, OK, I don't like poo either, so I guess I can't blame them. I was saddened, because really, how often can you justify juxtaposing an Oscar Wilde quote with a gif of Cartman shitting into a bowl? Let alone do so gracefully and relevantly? " Yeah, it was, actually. Wake up! " Nah, GGG won't touch this issue. Our entire conversation is academic. Interesting, though. Wash your hands, Exile!

" That. But now I regret my word choice. Americans who have never lived in Europe typically have a much more limited usage of that word. Well, ok, teachable moment, then. "Hey, Americans. Be aware that 'academic' has a broadly accepted second meaning in English-speaking countries outside of North America. Just fyi." Wash your hands, Exile!
