Elemental and Physical Reflect Maps

I'd like to throw my oppinion into the roil too.
As I see it, mapmodifiers should be something challenging, that CAN BE INTERACTED WITH or prevented. Something like "you are chased by an indestructible foe, but it's slow and you can outrun it" or "you take damage for standing around". Mechanics like these are designed to be handleable by adjusting your playstyle, not your ascendancy. Reflect on the other hand is for most players just this wall their builds can't interact with so they simply reroll the maps or risk exploding when the map is unidentified. There is no increased challenge here, only the choice between death and reroll because (correct me when I'm wrong) the only really effective way to handle reflect is either going phys slayer or elementalist because anti reflect modifiers on items are just not strong enough to mitigate enough damage in these high numbers ages. |
