It's so you "trade", trying to sell them to somebody who can do it.

" Because the balance team has no clue what they are doing. Player's damage has been increasing, increasing and increasing and reflect is still there with the same values, making unid maps potentially extremely deadly if you are not immune to reflect and your dps is based on hits and not dots. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

" Uh, No? Ash, Frost and Storm reduces elemental damage reflected to you by 20%, Primeval Force 10% reduced reflected elemental damage, Master of Force 20% reduced physical damage taken Scion can ascend into the Elementalist Immunity to reflected elemental damage, Slayer immunity to reflected Physical, Assassins Immunity to reflected damage from Critical Strikes. Elementalist Paragon of Calamity Reflected elemental damage immunity. Slayer's Headsman immunity to reflected physical damage Assassins Opportunistic which gives immunity to all reflected damage from critical strikes. But oh wait, i don't want to play these classes? ok use totems on chieftain or heriophant, Not good enough? Use traps or Minions other than Raise Spectre, If none of that works for you there's always currency flipping or becoming an aura-slave. Then there's items like Sibyl's Lament which has 40% Elemental or Physical damage reflected reduction. Nobody needs 1million dps to clear all the content in the game, This is purely a choice, GGG isnt forcing anyone to make bad builds, And that's just a few examples of which there are plenty more. This is a complex game with advantages and disadvantages for almost every single play style, class and ascendancy, Sure Blood magic was removed because it was too harsh but there really were not countermeasures in place for that unlike Reflect. If i had my way we'd have chaos damage getting reflected back too because i think that's fair and would also give CI a bit more of a reason to be used. " So your solution is change your build, class, items and skills just to survive a simple mod of a map. Even if you reduce reflected damage taken by 40% or whatever, you still kill yourself. The mod should be named "You will die" instead. I believe 95% of people just never do reflect maps. |
|
" Reroll the map then? Are there not a ton of mods that you can run that don't end up in you dying? Many of those mods can be very detrimental to other builds. There are plenty of mods that cause my build a lot of trouble, But i still run them, If you read everything i posted you'll clearly see there is too much interaction on almost every level of the game for it to ever be removed. Anyway in addition to the physical immunity available on two different ascendancys you can convert physical taken into elemental with a watchers eye and other equipment, you can increase your maximum resistances of the elemental damage you are dealing, and through flasks massively increase your armour among other things without drastically modifying your equipment/build. GL because they are never gonna remove reflect, though you never know they might balance it out but that would require a massive rework of ascendancy, items and the skill tree itself, But to say reflect needs to be removed shows a clear lack of understanding in how this game works and the complexities present within. " I agree that in the current game it's a mean mod, but as Symph wrote, there are ways to mmitigate it and you can always reroll that map. That said, my solution would be to add more reflect at lower values and lower the DPS required across the board. It used to be that way and glass cannons (with 50k DPS or whatever was the bomb back then) would occasionally kill themselves while more balanced characters could survive the occasional reflect and still clear the maps. Some kind of reflect would be the solution to all the balance issues this game has. It just shouldn't exist while hundreds of thousands of DPS are required because some hard hitters have literally millions of HP. May your maps be bountiful, exile

you cant reroll corrupted maps which is a thing above T10 which you are obviously not playing syph

" That really isn't an argument though, as that's only for atlas bonus completion and to increase the amount of drops which is a Risk vs Reward. I'm lvl 95 and i run t14-t16 atm and vaal every map i can, sometimes i get -max res -% armour and cannot regen life, These mods especially combined really hurt my build a lot, But im still running them, Not sure how it was obvious that i was doing t10 or lower lol?? Use a totem/ranged totem/trap support just for these maps if you are desperate to clear it. Innocence forgives you Last edited by SilentSymphony#3358 on Aug 3, 2019, 7:00:16 AM

" -max res, armour or cannot regen life is example of risk vs reward. Reflect is either you play dot / 100% immune or you die. This is not risk vs reward, this is example of guaranteed death. |
