What did the trade manifesto say about this?

You don't need an AH just an ability to go to someone's hideout and pick up the item. That would be a good start. You can argue of adding a confirmation from a seller before you can do that if you want to keep "the interaction" bullshit so GGG feels like that illogical manifesto is preserved.

Exactly. They'd just add a "trade party option" which allows others to come just to the hideout, pony up the orbs and then pick up the item and leave.

Why you didn't replied to buyer "5 min" or with similar message to let him know that you are willing to trade but can't do it at the moment? Most buyers are ok to wait. Your example is just confirming that something is wrong with some players who trade and not with trade system.

How about going on a long trek into Delve where you don't actually have the time to write anything? Straight DND then I guess.

Also lol 5 minutes, it requires less than 1 to get out of the mapception but this could still be too much for most people who have to deal with this trading system regularly.

And there's the real problem with trade.

heres the thing, is the problem with the buyers or the sellers?

They dont want a full ah, and I agree with most of their reasoning, but this is all about the buyers right? Its about ease of getting gear, and thats a buyer, thats the guy whos getting the gear. The seller already owns the piece of gear in question.

These ideas about having an npc in your hideout, people can come to your h/o, interact with this npc while ur online, make the trade for the specified currency and leave... its the same as if u were there to trade with them. but youre not, they dont have to hassle you at all. IF they want to trade for alternate currency, maybe offer an item, ask for a discount, then they can message you and perhaps you accept and make the trade manually on that somewhat rare occasion.


I dont see the problem with this. A fair amount of people seem to already have a bot who sits in a h/o and trades for them, ive seen it blatantly many times, probably a second account. its already happening.

people make a search, copy a link, they then get a tp to the npc in your h/o who gives the item over for the exact currency buyout specified. You (the seller) have to be online at the time, what would be the issue with that?



we really should have an ah for things like currency, maps, essences, frags etc tho. All these consumables are a nightmare and the price fixing is issues are just idiotic. Gear, fine, I accept the reasoning behind no AH, the consumables I think we have to compromise and just make a full ah.

NPS in the hideout sounds perfect.

@OP (only read 1st page of the topic)

If nothing else is done, we should be able to trade at distance, ie. receive invitation to party and perform trade in the party or have a new invitation system in place for trade. The need to go to someone's hideout or a public area is so ancient it is beyond any justification. I do not argue for AH because that would push it too much but allowing trade to be done without meeting in a hideout should be a no-brainer.

If GGG continues to claim trade must be conducted in this obsolete and restrictive way, I will have to reconsider my support for them. I do not play games, mobile or others, which are specifically designed to be obnoxious in an attempt to push players to purchase MTX. GGG's refusal to make even slightest of concessions in how we conduct trade is bordering on intentional design to obstruct player's experience, which should mean I stop spending money on PoE. I will still be playing it since it is best ARGP available, I just might not buy any more supporter packs in the future.

Imagine a loot "system", where exalted orb drops every 3 minutes, but when you try to pick it up, there pop up several confirmation windows like "do you REALLY want to pick that exalted orb", and 95% of the time, when you click "yes", you receive a message "Sorry, your Exalted Orb gone. Better luck next time." and you get nothing (if you click "no", you get nothing 100% of the time).
Net exa drop would be same as current one... But current drop system is relatively enjoyable to players, and second one would only cause massive frustration and outrage.
