Is Legion GGG's best league to date?

I would rate legion as one of the worst league. Its literally the worst league for build diversity that ever existed. Period. I feel like GGG is trying their best to remove the build diversity this game had to offer (lets be honest, its not PoE we knew couple years ago) and forcefully shove meta inside our throats.

You're more than welcome to play what ever build you want. The game is easy beyond all past measures. There are a few obvious choices people are making, but you're free to choose otherwise. This is on the players... not on the league.

Legion is great, maybe even better than Breach.
Simple, fun, rewarding - kill mobs, get loot, that's all we need.

This is exactly on the league. By introducing league that gives you MORE reward if your build is good, instead giving the same reward, just quicker, as it was always, GGG just put big middle finger to everyone who ejoyed "non meta not ZOOM ZOOM builds".

Seems kinda fair after the synthesis reaction. Everyone was pissed that it wasn't this. You can't have a mindless killing league without builds better at killing doing better. Unless you do something like abyss, which was a cool concept, but I find it way more boring than all the other league content I've gotten to try.

Nah. For the first time in any league I feel like I'm being punished for not playing the 'go fast go faster go fastest' - meta. There is no 'inefficient' - option when it comes to Legion encounters, you either steamroll them or won't even bother doing them.

you don't need to break out all monsters. only ones with icons over their heads, and ideally every rare (as they can drop splinters). if your build can't do that, no matter how much you don't like zoom zoom you're probably too slow and thus your build blows chunks.

this is an arpg where killing things faster should always be the goal and should always be looked at as being better. real slow thorns type builds are FUN but they're not supposed to be competitive


that all being said, i think this is my favourite league to date. i have a max of 2,000 sulphite too. i have barely touched delve this league. screw it.

i have always preferred the more simplistic leagues anyway. in my opinion they are more fun because they're easier to engage in

Pretty much sums up the league. In all previous leagues and content, a bit slower build just means you get the same rewards slower, it scales linearly.

The exponential rates on this league are completely beyond stupid.

Having a better build is fine, but that isnt the case with legion. It's rewarding one very specific build architype substantially more than every other type.
