Is Legion GGG's best league to date?
Legion is the first league where I feel like my slower playstyle doesn't work at all. I am enjoying my Pulverize Earthquake build but it is way slower now due to the changes to EQ.
Both the gathering of the splinters and the actual run itself is all about how fast your character can go. I don't mind doing less emblem runs then a speedy character but the run itself also feels bad to run. Compared to running a breach lord, or a safe house, or a memory nexus run. A fast character will get to do more of these. When I do get to run them, they will feel the same for both characters. The jewels are really nice but I can't say I am enjoying this mechanic to its fullest. It will go core since it's very easy to fit in but I can't say I am enjoying it all that much... I understand why others are enjoying it though. |

My first league was Betrayal so I have little grounds for comparison but I do really like Legion. I also liked Betrayal and in fact am seeking out Jun on the Atlas as it finally seems optimized and it awards good xp. That said, the poor state of presentation of the past 3 leagues on release as far as bugs is piss poor...hoping for better. I did not care for synthesis. Always felt like a chore.

Poe is fun, having a lot of fun with cyclone.
Having said that i think legion is one of my least favorite leagues of all time. The rewards structure this league is completely out of whack. There is no league mechanic endgame(5 army fight) without a hh build but honestly that does't even matter as t2 glacier farming makes you several exalts per day. Well to be fair poe always had this problem but it def seems worse this league. [Removed by Support] Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them “The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.” Last edited by jackof8lades#6863 on Jul 6, 2019, 7:40:34 AM

Dont think its the best but surely one of the best. For me legacy league will always be nr 1.
Still sane exile?

Had too many "almost got him" moments with the damn timer. Probably need more DPS. Dunno. Best league? Hard to say because "new" gets in the way. Perandus and Legacy are so far my favorites. Legion will be in the top five though. Wish shards were a bit more common.
I also think Prophecy is one of the tops... but they've really dropped the ball not maintaining it. Last edited by Shagsbeard#3964 on Jul 6, 2019, 8:40:49 AM

ggg needed boost after 2 disappointing leagues. All they had to do is increase drop rates (especially maps), not implement bs mechanics (like 1 shot) and voilà they got successful league. Now that they are back on track it's time for them to nerf shit out of anything that resembles fun. Wouldnt be surprised if Legion encounter is reduced to one in ~50 maps and use scarabs is pretty much a must if you want to farm Legion? Something like early Delve nerf.

Monolith mechanic is good, but Domain of Endless Conflict is a failure.

Good league, but really lacks some endgame boss, like Aul was in Delve.
Also Headhunter, should i even start? |

Not as good as delve but definitely in the top list for me, I've not skipped a monolith all league which kinda speaks to how fun it is.
Probably agree with the guy previously though. Only real criticism, Monoliths are great Domain is a bit of a bust with the wrong kind of gating. I do think they should have handled the jewels differently too. Last edited by Draegnarrr#2823 on Jul 6, 2019, 9:03:12 AM

" Still have a couple stash tabs full of legacy symbol things, just to remind myself of how awesome that league was (at the time). My all time favourite league. I have to agree with GGG's comments on it though (i forget where) that legacy really wouldnt have anywhere near the same impact now, given how well integrated most league mechanics are, it'd feel somewhat diluted. Synthesis, despite its cumbersome interface was kinda like Legacy in some ways, being able to somewhat determine which league mechanic you wanted to interact with. What would be crazy to see (probably for a race rather than a league) is *every* league mechanic active on every zone (limited to one per). That idea popped up when i had a breach and rift in the same screen as a monolith. feeling risky? As for Legion, I'm kinda meh about the league itself. The jewels are absolutely amazing though, so persevering through it. It'll need some adjustments for standard. Last edited by Asmosis#7365 on Jul 6, 2019, 9:20:32 AM
