Someone tell me why T0 uniques get nerfed...

This is not directly related to OP post, but to the HH threads as a whole. I just don't get it. It's the vibe i get by reading these threads. It's not supposed to be an attack. Which it definitely sounds like.


What is with the HH hate i will never understand. Never even had one myself, neither i care to have one but all of this smell of desperation and jealousy shows what's wrong with today's generation of gamers.

"That guy has it good, fuck that guy. If i can't have it, then you should suffer too". I swear it's like reading WoW forums, where lazy ungrateful "gamers" cannot fathom the idea that someone has more for investing more. Except this time blizzard listened and their game is in the trashcan.

Sad thing is, that PoE is a RNG ARPG and people still demand HH to be nerfed. Go farm for it, it's not hard. There are countless ways to farm the currency. And if you don't have the time, its not the game's fault.

Also don't compare HH to the uniques of old. It's the >ONLY< item in the game that has the power to call itself a "chase unique".

Imagine if Enigma was removed from D2:LoD...boy...

My idea was just for folks that despretaly want to use it and in a way, that doesn't brick the item and introduce the buff-stealing mechanic in an additional, slightly easier optainable way.
My "Headcollector"-idea shouldn't be a regular dropp by any means. Beeing league-specific just like HH would be completely fine. The "Headcollector" could just be T1 instead of T0, that's it^^

Do you know the fabel of the fox and the grapes? The story conserns a fox that tries to eat grapes from a vine but cannot reach them, because they are hanging to high. Rather than damit his defeat, he states, that grapes are anyway undesirable.

I know you’re not pointing at OP. But I just want to be clear I’m not hating on HH and chase uniques. I’m asking why only HH is allowed to remain chase all these years but everything else had to be nerfed.

Because GGG are in a loop created by themselves, a loop in which Popularity dictates the meta, not power. I guess HH being the only chase unique, is why they aren't touching it.

Same goes for builds, for example mathils latest build, the shocknova one.

Destroys the screen in one click, OP as hell against legion encounters and erases bosses instantly. The same thing current cyclone and impale FINALLY allowed melee to do.

Guess which one will get nerfed the next league.

Your comparison has one major flaw though: I'm not trying to eat the grapes, because I don't want the grapes ;)

As mentioned: I don't want it to be nerfed, I'm totally fine with people using it (I'm not fine with people beeing dickholes and braggin about how cool they are for having it though^^) and I absoluetly don't have the desire to chase after it.
I use my T3 sacrifice room on belts, true. If it would pop a HH I would chuck it on for a round and than sell it "slightly used with a little jazz on it" for a mirror and be done^^

Thats such a simplistic way of thinking though. What about all these skills/items which were nerfed by GGG? Using the same logic it was because of jealousy and only jealousy.

Well it's not that simple on HC when you are wearing it, you are risking a lot of wealth.

Just I_NO still haven't understood this game is meant to be played on HC. On HC you can always show your balls by delving deep with any ultra expensive gear equipped. :-) :-)

P.s.: There is definitely one thing I_NO cannot do. To be rank 1 on HC delve ladder at the end of season. Even she is not that good player. :-) Sadly I'm not that good too. :-)

The reason they don't need to nerf HH is that every build can benefit from it... pretty much equally. It's not "required". While it might be OP, it's not making people favor one build over any other. It's just a different mode of play.

It's rarity keeps players from stumbling across one and "accidentally" modifying their game from the base. You really have to try to find one... or trade for one, then the outcome is on you.

I'm perfectly ok with an optional "god mode". Doesn't bother me in the slightest.
