[3.10] Liggles' Immune Stormwall - crit/block staff cyclone | All content | HC

Hi
how good is this builds looks insane
can it do hard content like uber atziri/Uber Elder/Shaper
How much of a damage hit would switching from templar to duelist/champion? It would be nice to do maps quicker with a wider cyclone that going duelist would allow. Just to hit Brickmanship and Master of the Arena.

If you stay scion and go duelist/champion you'd lose your elemental ailment immunity and chance to generate consecrated ground against rares (you still have gifts from above). You'd gain some overleech from slayer at least, and you could get elemental immunity (if you wanted - at least freeze/ignite) from a cyclopean coil. There's probably not much in it, and it'd be a good QoL.

However, I think a good balance of DPS/Surv/AoE could be going a full physical impale/bleed crit staff slayer with a nice 500/600 DPS staff over scion - you'd have overleech, AoE, reflect/freeze/ignite/stun immunity (bleed and poison too if you kept Death's door + pantheon choices). Something like: (VERY CRUDE) Tree

That might even be better than this build with an 8 ex+ rare staff - You could run pride/herald of purity/precision/blood and sand as auras, with ice golem and vulnerability or a defensive curse. I'd have to PoB it!

I was thinking Ele/Champion. With Stormwall.

Thanks - and well, normal Atziri was *really* easy at level ~75, especially as we're reflect immune. Gaurdians I can facetank pretty much and afk the fight without respecting most the mechanics (except for maybe walking out of the minotaur's falling rock thing - but I do have a gif of facetanking minotaur). Shaper was fairly simple at level 87, I could Facetank the slams (I'll get a gif of that up later on). The degen vortex pool things were a bit of an issue because I'm bad at dodging and tend to panic press flasks so run out quickly, so I actually died to that, but it was my own fault for bad play I think - I have a video of it but I was like "God I can't upload this I look like an idiot for standing in a pool".

I'll try and push influence to do uber elder soon, and I'll buy some fragments for Uber atziri (who should be super simple I think) :)

That would likely work - I think I looked at that myself. You could drop the tombfist then as you get intimidate from the champion ascendancy, and you could also drop fortify as you likewise get that. You'd lose elemental immunity though. It might be worth a shot!

  • A 6 link stormwall is 45c atm: http://poe.trade/search/tomazumewomaka
  • A VERY defensive (unlinked) astral plate (for res +life +phys damage reduction) is a few chaos: http://poe.trade/search/igatetenokotoa
  • A 1 socket tombfist is ~2 chaos (you only need the intimidate, really) http://poe.trade/search/ekimokasigatoh
  • If you get the tombfist, replace your belt with a stygian vise like this (2-10chaos most likely): http://poe.trade/search/owazitanokokit
  • One of those rare -7 mana rings with the resists you need (15-20 chaos)
  • 2 x might of the meek will help with res/life (18% all res and loads of life at the life wheel by the scion tree) for ~40c

That should all come to ~1ex at the current exchange?

Hopefully this helps!

Yeah that helps! I didn't actually notice the prices of 6L Stormwall was so low. The price for any Stormwall was ~6C when I checked, and 30C for 5L. I assumed it would be much higher for the 6L and I was going to wait until I hit maps to see what I could afford. I hit 60 last night and grabbed a 6L Stormwall for 50c. I expect it will be increasing in cost with your build gaining popularity and people exploring more and more cyclone options. I didn't want to wait on that deal. It was already easy mode, but my tooltip DPS shot up from ~10k to ~50k. Now that will be serious easy mode for a long while!

I've added a shaper slam facetank gif to the guide, but here it is also:

The degen pools are still an issue, so you still do have to dodge somethings, but otherwise it's ok.

Ahh that's awesome, and if that's just hideout tooltip dps it doesn't really capture the "true" dps from consecrated ground damage from gifts from above, the 30% multiplier from inquis, the 10% more damage taken from inquis, the general % ele pen, etc!

Also, we're lucky in a way - if stormwall/this build does become more popular, when you eventually decide to try a new build you can perhaps sell your 6link one for several ex and make bank!

I tried spells and these are my leveling tips until lvl 28 and should be perfect for a league start:

Get hands on two of these with the gem setup inside:

You can get such wand by vendoring a magic wand with an cold ring and an alteration, sockets won't change.

The Frostbold setup is there to kill bosses (also use Frost Bomb) and you can replace Arcane Surge later with Controlled Destruction.

The Frostblink and Frost Bomb setup is there to clear enemies fast, you first place a Frost Bomb in a pack of monsters, Frostblink while being inside a pack and the Frost Bomb should finish them off.

Note:
This build is not a very fast and optimal league starter because of these reasons:
1. Getting a 6l Stormwall will be hard to find and very expensive.
2. Proccing a prophecy in a tier 10 map is very hard, because you either need to farm the map yourself or find someone who sells the map.

I would suggest this build as a very nice starter after 3 to 5 days have passed already.
