As a Casual, I am sad that Synthesis is ending so soon

What even is this?

Or you cannot dedicate 2% of the time you spent on your current character to level a new one?

You're not a casual, if anything you've fried up a chromosome with the radiation you've got from your computer screen.

Now let's say you own an IT store, you have some regulars that come in to check out the newest hardware, and regulary buy new products, business is going good.

One day a few protesters stand outside, they have bought one product, but they want you to change your business model completely, and want you to sell used products, or else they wont buy from you again!

The catch is, if you meet the protesters demands, you know the regulars would buy products elsewhere, if your store dosent have the newest hardware.

Now i ask you, would you change your business model, to meet the few protesters demands?

Just using the information you provided, i can only make 3 assumptions:

1- Your definition of casual is different from the standard definition:

2- You got extremely luck in this league, and is frustrated that the luck "will go away" when the league finishes:

3- You RMT by impulse and now realized that all the real money you spent will go puff unless you play standard now.


That aside, i agree that the interval between leagues should be increased to allow them to deliver a more polished product. For this they can either keep the same 3 months league duration and add small race events (1/2-4 hour races) daily for one month, this could give them "retention" and more "viewers" since the streamers would probably play this small races. Or just make leagues last 4 months.

I am not looking to start a fight, and won't participate in further discussion with you, but a guy who recommends Last Epoch over PoE should probably not accuse others of missing chromosomes.

Moreover it only proves my point further, that Synthesis was so good, so rewarding, that in the end even a casual can rock a 200 ex build with a HH.

It's amazing to me how much people care about what a stupid, poorly defined, and inherently meaningless label is applied to someone.

They don't really care, its a forum for discussing ideas, that idea is literally based around the idea of "as a casual". It says it in the title how can you agree or disagree if it falls at the first hurdle?

OP can make all the same points without even needing the moniker of casual, or alternatively include some personal reference that isn't blatantly wrong even though the term is nebulous. Some of the ideas are good points that people could talk over why even bother including it?

you are not a casual. end of. just noticed you're even level 97 aside from the challenges and HH.

If you play more than once a week you aint casual. and with 36 challenges you're probably casual about things that really matter - like excerise, personal relationships, professional development, etc.

Trust me I did 36 once and only once. My wife nearly sold off my computer due to lack of attention I gave her.

It's honestly a bit meaningless, as I was often leaving PoE open while AFK to receive trade offers, etc. It seems kinda high (a bit surprising), but my real time spent playing is obviously much lower.

Anyway, this thread derailed somehow. I was making a point that the league is too short to enjoy it fully. I would have gladly played for one more month to get 40/40, level 100 and buy a mirror. Unless you are super hardcore, you cannot do it in three months.

What difference does it make if I am casual (which I fully believe I am) or not?

If you consider yourself casual, you are that.

But I do not agree that the leagues are too short. I always look forward to the league reset every 3 months and often I feel "forced" to combine difficulties either being SC, SCSSF, HC or HCSSF, so I can fill the atlas twice.
