As a Casual, I am sad that Synthesis is ending so soon

Synthesis had some problems at start, but was eventually turned into a pretty deep and rewarding league. It had a lot of things to learn and use to your advantage, even for a casual player.

And as a casual, I am certainly not able to develop more than one character during a league to a level when it finally feels fun and powerful (i.e. obtaining a Headhunter and such).

But now Synthesis is ending, and I feel like my character is being taken away from me, all beacuse of necessity to push new supporter packs onto a general playerbase.

GGG, please:

1. Leagues are too short for a casual playerbase to develop a charater and have time to enjoy it. Hectic schedule of league releases hurts quality and enjoyement. When the release problems are corrected, legue is sometimes dead already.

2. Standard is NOT an alternative to a league play, being too shallow, too unrewarding, with not enough people to play, with dead economy and inflated prices.

3. You are hurting casuals extremely bad by forcing resets (especially when resetting into a "simplier" (shallow) leagues, just beacuse you need to churn out content and push supporter packs.

I will probably not be playing Legion, and I will certainly not be buying a supporter pack. I urge anyone who agrees with this sentiment abstain from buying a supporter pack also.

For the sake of the casual playerbase 3-month release schedule needs to go away!

Sure you can not buy the supporter pack and suggest others don't as well, do you prefer to pay a monthly subscription fee to play? Because you do realize this is a business and it comes with development costs, you know real people who need to feed families etc ...

The one thing I know about GGG is they are pretty good at using their data numbers to make decisions, and they seem to know that 3 months is the number that works best for leagues .... it sounds like playing on standard is more what you are looking for.

Lol I never had a HH, am I more casual than you?

What does literal HH have to do with determining who is casual?

A casual will play say less than 2 hours a day on average and will obtain a HH 2 months into the league.

A hardcore nolifer will play 10 hours a day on average and will obtain a HH 2 weeks into the league.

A causal is happy to finally get a HH, but beacuse GGG is pushing new supporter packs, there is not enough time to enjoy using a HH in the league. Thus GGG hurts the enjoyment of a casual player.

Bruh you cleared end game bosses and play at least 20 hours a week you aren't fooling anyone.

I am suggesting not buying supporter packs in order for GGG to realise that there is a problem and seek solutions.

If you're happy with how things are and want to support them then by all means go and buy a supporter pack. I don't want them to go bankrupt or anything, lol.

you are forgeting that leagues are literaly BETA for new content. they use those 3months to check bugs etc and in the end they fix this and that and put it in the "main" game.
We actually refer to it as 'core' and not 'main', but you have the right idea.

I'd prefer they had a buy-in to play each league... but that will never happen.
I got bored after 1½ month in synth. Usually i last about a month so for me, leagues are far too long :/

They just gave you 180 hours of fun. That's more than you can say about 90% of games out there. And that's just one league. On top of that, you can still play your character "forever" even after the league is done. I really don't see how they're hurting you.

You allways have the option to start a private league, path of exile wont change their business model, just for you.

For the majority of players, 3 month leagues is fine.

Before you started playing path of exile, you knew a league would be 3 month's long, Poe are not hurting "casuals", you put yourself in this situation, i know you talk about not wanting to play on standard, but how often do you play in groups? the majority of your playtime is solo, right? what about trying out SSF standard? to me it sounds like the perfect match for you, you can play as casual as you want, there is no rush, you dont "NEED" to compare yourself to others, and you can play it as long as you want to :)
GGG's income is largely depedent on releasing new leagues to attract players and garner MTX sales. Dragging it out another month where most players stop playing after 2 or so months would likely hurt their income considerably.
