The game is so dead that even General Chat is dead

I see you are still trying to push your agenda. Not that I blame you. I kinda agree.

That said, I'm currently not playing because I'm waiting for my last PC replacement part (actually software). Since I had these lag issues in endgame, I decided to upgrade a few parts of my PC. I even upgraded Windows and completely cleaned out everything. Yes, everything. Even opened up the PSU and cleaned it. Actually felt nice. Took me away from the game for a bit and felt like cleansing.

In case you are interested, my system will now be:

i5-9400f CPU
GTX 970 GPU
32GB DDR4 RAM
Windows 10
SSD

Should run MUCH better than what I had before.

Back on topic, even once my PC is ready some time this week, I will not enter Flashback. Looks to me I won't be playing much, if at all, until 3.7.

I'm a little pissed off that i paid $205 USD for i5-6500 in 16' and this little 6-core here is under 2.

Synthesis has definitely broken my PoE addiction and it actually feels really good. Had no desire to play flashback either. I've done it all before. I'm way more excited to play a little of the next D3 season than I am to see anything from 3.7.

PoE is dead thread? Must be monday. These dumb posts are more predictable than the tide.
Has more people agreeing with him than most of them though. We'll see. I don't hype one way or the other. Positive hype can be just as annoying as negative.

Chris Wilson completely lost touch with regular players, with statements like if players cannot beat content, they can watch streamers do it.

If players cannot reach content. Big difference.

Chris said if the league is delayed it will upset millions of gamers. Where did he find these millions of gamers? He think PoE is as big as fortnite or something? On average the weekly concurrent player is about 15k or so. If you are generous and assume concurrent players are 5% of total active players. That’s still only 300k active players, and I am fairly sure PoE has no where this number. Where do these millions of gamers came from?

you are probably only looking at the weekly concurrent steam players? There are also players who don't use steam and players who play on different realms (Chinese realm, Xbox, PS)

Eeeeh.

Million(SSSSSSSSSS)? Console isn't really popular and I don't know about China but I doubt it's anything different; we'd probably have some feedback about it's popularity otherwise.

Maybe a million unique accounts logged in over the course of the 3 month league at the absolute best.
We'd know about that number as well - you should know by now how GGG likes to flaunt their numbers and show super cool awesome "statistics" on how well they're doing, and how of course smart their decision making has been.

Can't wait for them to show us this league on "How balanced and equally played" all classes this league were.
At the same time, having 8 classes be played by a total of 6% of the playerbase sure is a work of art!

600,000 is a pretty decent lower estimate though. The steam charts peak at 100,000 concurrent players at opening weekend. It's pretty safe to think that most people are gonna sleep and do other stuff, 8 hours is probably a high estimate for average daily play time on release, multiple that by 3 for people playing at other intervals, and then assume half the people on PC aren't playing through steam. So, yea 600,000 conservative.
In my experience, general chat has been fairly responsive

I meant General Discussion, the forum section which we're in, hence the statement of being able to see threads from 3 days ago on the first page

It's hard to have an unresponsive Global Chat channel tho as they have very restricted population anyways and if you're hogging a popular one, you'll be placed in a less populated one and vice versa.
