The game is so dead that even General Chat is dead
Y'all doing it wrong.
This game is so dead... ...not even the Vaal could reanimate it ...there's not enough left to raise a zombie ...the cat is trying to cover up my screen while I'm mapping ...not even the carrion flies are interested anymore ...you have to flesh offering to uninstall it from your HD ...you'd need Alva to help you find a few traders or leechers ...the dog buried it in the yard next to a pork knuckle and a deflated beach ball from 2015 ...being a fan of this game is a felony in several countries ...allocating memory to running the game begins with Necromantic Aegis ...it counts as a fossil fuel with respect to the Kyoto Convention guidelines ...Microsoft created a separate multiplayer network for it called 'Xbox Dead' [19:36]#Mirror_stacking_clown: try smoke ganja every day for 10 years and do memory game

you just need to look at twitch numbers.
even with the start of flashback the game barely made Top10. the week before it was around 40-50 and now it's declining rapidly again. ppl (and streamers) have lost interest in PoE. i haven't played syntesis before flashback and even with all the improvements they made it feels clunky and is WAY TOO time consuming. if i think of syndicate, incursion, delve and master missions on top of it, it just kills the fun for me. |

" If you compare on a year by year basis, 2018 was the leading year, with 2019 lagging behind 2018 roughly by about 10-15%, yet 2019 is still ahead of 2016. So if the game is in much better shape than in 2016, how can it be "dead"? |

" I just swapped 970 out for 1070 TI 3 months ago. The difference is quite big! Uploaded an awesome Exsanguinate Freeze Explosion build on the forums - https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3508506

" But I do not say that the game is "dead". In my opinion, it simply has serious problems that will be difficult to get out of, because GGG has invested too much in various non-profitable projects (console, Korea) that will now have a devastating effect on the entire game. Now GGG is in an impasse, because after creating two shitty, and above all, extreme buggy leagues, playerbase demands something "good". But as Wilson clearly stated, futore leagues will be mediocre at most, "because of 4.0". And then finaly some competition shows up, like Last Epoch or Volcen or so. If you look on monthly average players numbers in March-April-May 2019 League, you will discover that it is ~23.000 players per month. Therefore it will be enough that only three games will take PoE for 6,000 players each and the whole thing goes back to 2015, with the costs from 2019 and not very good reputation :P Last edited by postrach_myszy#3054 on May 13, 2019, 10:18:28 AM

Tried to warn them about this four years ago when it became clear they were going to hold to the powercreep model of development. It's a bubble that will burst at some point. Players want more and more and more but eventually anything you give them is not enough.
Hope they can reinvent themselves with 4.0. |

" I had to swap mine because one of my fans started trolling and it had outlived itself already. I thought about getting 2080 TI but I cannot justify such purchase, even with plenty of available resources it does not change my experience whatsoever from 1070 TI. I still have some giga expensive Samsung SSD m.420 sitting on top of my shelf which I've been too lazy to install just because I don't need it. " Install the m.2 for general tasks it's unoticable, in gaming and load screens it's insanely better. Also, good call waiting on your GPU. If the rumors are legit around the amd3000 series and pricing, all is plebs are getting massive upgrades later this year. 2070 performance for under 300$ US yes please! As for POE, it's mostly solo game already and playing SSF just makes it feel relaxing and you can do things at your own pace, and the joy of upgrades feels great and you don't have to play the Trade endgame BS. |

I support both Last Epoch and Wolcen. GGG has lost touch with gamers.
Wolcen has issue of lack of content, hopefully it will be fixed with content patch 1. Last Epoch looks rough but has potential and the developers know how to keep to schedule unlike Wolcen studio. Also the developers are very active in engaging with players and listen to feedback. While I don’t think it’s fair to compare a work in progress game to a “finished” game like PoE, the engagement to players is next to ZERO. Chris Wilson completely lost touch with regular players, with statements like if players cannot beat content, they can watch streamers do it. Chris said if the league is delayed it will upset millions of gamers. Where did he find these millions of gamers? He think PoE is as big as fortnite or something? On average the weekly concurrent player is about 15k or so. If you are generous and assume concurrent players are 5% of total active players. That’s still only 300k active players, and I am fairly sure PoE has no where this number. Where do these millions of gamers came from? Last edited by KiadawP#5072 on May 13, 2019, 11:34:10 AM
