Too much Potion-ness

All passives that gives you increase in hp% increase your health that you get for every lvl. Also there is passivs that increase health you get from flask

I'm confused by how leveling works then. I thought that you received a set increase to HP and mana every level. How does it actually work?

In higher lvls flask regenerate health too slow for you to survive. Monsters do a lot more damage than you can heal with it, so you are depending from things like health leach if your not going for a tank build.

Interesting. Well I'm excited to finally get into the beta and play at higher levels. :P

dunno i have no problem whatsoever with it, i'm still used to the potion madness in diablo 2
I really do not see any problem with Path of Exile's potion system because they have done two things differently than the norm.

1. Heal over time. If I recall large flasks take seven seconds to heal. Which means if monsters are eating through your health chances are you still die if you try to potion spam.

2. Charges. Large flasks have something like 45(?) charges, but it takes 20 charges to use it. Which means you can't use potions constantly.

Think about that, 120hp over 7 seconds twice for every 40 monsters. Let's say you have all health flasks that is still only 10 heals for 120hp over 7 seconds per 40 monsters you kill.
From what I´ve seen in the open beta weekend (lvl 1-24), I like the current system alot. The customization made for various options depending on build, and that kind of choice from something as ordinary as a potion spambar is impressive.

As a ranger though in those first lvl´s, it´s not like you actually need potions.
