Nowadays, we are all a bunch of catfish garbage eaters scouring the grounds of maps for trash currency drops to convert them into bigger currency with trade bots, so we can buy a ring with 15 more life, a pair of boots with 5 more speed. None of it is needed, there are very few actual chase uniques left. Item price-rates are exponential instead of linear, meaning you may a high premium for that measly 10 more life, but the game is so easy at this point the 1c ring is more than enough.

The game has been made into D3, ironically enough. The thing you actually have to trade the most for is just game progression. Maps, things to craft with.

Lets not even get into the fact they made the game so easy that it really doesnt matter what you wear, use, or do. All of it kills mobs in a single hit. The game is a lightshow catfish simulator where stuff flashes on the screen, and pieces of trash end up on the ground that you scour off like a carp.

Those items have lost their "special" because you trade. I'm still stoked to find them.

problem is the lazy ass "gamers" that put up a ton of 1 alch/chaos items and dont take them offline because they are too rich to bother with those.

or is it a marketing scam?

1. create a guild(s) that has max number of players
2. 99% of those players flood the market but never whisper back/sell anything
3. buyer gets frustraded and go "fine i'll put the min prize to 2 alch/chaos" adn gets his thingie from that one guy of the guild that has double/tripple the prize
4.?
5.profit

You only find them, because the drop rates are different.

Back in the day, you wouldn't find them at all. Thats what made them worth something, and thats what made them special.

Now, its D3 baby. Game made easier for SSF crowd. Which to be fair, I dont even mind. As much as I talk about a better trade system, I do very little trading as is. I trade just enough to acquire the items I want for my build, and at that point I stop trading.

Just this game has changed massively over the years. Drop-rates included. You can enjoy playing without trade because they changed a ton of things over the years. When it comes to gearing your character that is, coupled with the massive power creep that has happened. I remember when a moniker like "Atziri viable" was something special about a build. Now you can kill her ass with Leap Slam if you felt like it.

The chinese server is full of bots. Not like us with the regular global chat spammer but they actually have bots to control the economy and prices.
Also RMT is a normal thing there. People talk and deal openly on global channels. The prices are so screwed up that you would cry and delete the game on the first day.

Be happy that we have our PC version as a safe haven from these threats.

Our economy is also full of trade bots. With Exalt price going at 1:150 chaos, it is also full of farming bots too. What difference does it make?

You talk like AH is the cause of RMT. I don't claim Chinese server is objectively better than our server in ALL aspects. BUT if they can implement an AH without breaking the economy, we can do too.

Their economy is pretty much broken with constant inflation and manipulation....

But hey, it's not easy to talk about something to someone who has clearly no experience in said system.

I encourage you to download the chinese version and play there for at least 1 month.
