"We are not adding a Trade Market to the PC version of Path of Exile. "
" -They clearly suck at making ARPGs that can self-sustain like D2 : Chris himself in his GDC talk noted that before they went on their "OMG NEW LEAGUE BUY SUPPORTER PACKS" shtick they couldn't get the game to grow a population. -They're losing players to any other game that offers trade that doesn't require sitting AFK in a room waiting for a reply. And they still won't add it because I don't care why: it's stupid regardless. It's just funny watching people craft awesome gear and it sitting in their stash for weeks because no one has faith in manual trading anymore... -They built by far THE. WORST. crafting scheme to date in a failed attempt to circumvent botters and foster some BS "interaction between players"...so now you get mot of the currency you need from bots who say not a damn word because they're the only things in trade that actually fucking reply in a timely fashion and 'interaction' is not required to trade...you know, how a AUCTION HOUSE works. -They clearly missed the mark on keeping the game balanced, otherwise they wouldn't have to be working on Melee for the next update (and the "Melee is fine" fanboys lose their marbles). -The O N L Y reason why they're doing so well is because they A) offer the game for free and B) are the only established offering. If any other game rolled along and offered the same, added an AH, balanced melee, had mobs that weren't mostly cannon fodder, and didn't rush into mistakes because of their own ill-planned ambitious ideas then GGG's days would be numbered. It's barely scrapping out 10k at league start on Steam as one of the platforms more popular games. People like saying "not everyone plays on Steam" but I HIGHLY doubt that Steam isn't their bulk-of population thanks to not having to manually open the fucking launcher to patch + other Steam offerings. But hey, I just hate myself for the game being run by people who've openly admitted to focusing on the wrong part of the population, hocking cosmo's, and placing part of the blame for the 3-month bug-producing cycle on the players want for new content when no one said crunch for it...time to look in the mirror and make sure you're not projecting your inability to read and comprehend a dictionary... |

I say this in every thread and I will say it again here, you do NOT have to implement a "Buyout" feature if you implement an AH. So if you think instant item access "ruins aRPGs" (yet you basically get instant item access with current trade).
BTW those who argue against the AH, tell me, what will GGG do to remove scripters, botters, etc from camping poe.trade and other 3rd party sites? What's your answer? So is it fair to people who play this game to have to compete against these? Wouldn't it be much easier to monitor and handle with at the very least, an AH without a buyout feature, that is behind company firewalls and security? Because all I see on these forums is WAAAAAH! NO AH WAAAAH! Yet we are in miserable shape without one. We STILL have absurd inflation and deflation. (I see alchs go for 2:1c one day, suddenly it's 7:1c) So don't pretend like absurd inflation and deflation doesn't already exist because it does. It's MORE of a problem than "we need better trade". We need trade that can be monitored and protected sufficiently against the botters and scripters who basically own the current trade market. The current trade market is setup so ghetto. When you are out of game, it's much easier to run bots scripts etc for a trade out of game, than a trade in-game, that is like Warden for D2, only much more advanced, and checks for botters and scripters IN GAME. " Why are people under the continuing delusion Diablo 4 will ever exist? Diablo 4 is Diablo Immortal, and no way is that having any functioning trade system at all thanks to Diablo 3's drop system |
