Just because sales were good doesn't mean it was good. D3 got sales mainly because of Diablo 2 and LOD. Diablo 3 is also the most refunded game Blizzard ever made lol.

Lol the salt in this thread is real.

You don't sell 30+ million copies of a shit game. It sold well for years. There were certainly those die hard D2 fans that hated it, but the game clearly appealed to a larger audience.

Since "good" is subjective, I normally defer to sales and sustainability. Can something be good and not sell well? Sure if your marketing sucks, or availability sucks, ect..

Can something be awful, bad, w/e and continue to sell in massive amounts? I suppose, but it's a reach. Its sounds more like bitterness at this point, to what ends, I have no idea.

D4 is coming, it's been in development since 2016.

Blizzard has a proven 10 year track record of defining #2....business malpractice.

The Diablo franchise was buried and forgotten years ago. Sadly, many fans still haven’t moved on and cling to the past of the glory North days..

Diablo 4 will definitely beat PoE because Diablo 4 only exists in my head and it can be anything I want.

We should not care about Diablo franquise anymore, even if they make Diablo IV, it will be bad, and the hype will end in a couple months, like in D3.


The problem is Lost Ark. That will be the game that will kill PoE, Im pretty sure almost every ARPG player will go there once it comes to Europe and NA.


So we should enjoy this one while it lasts.

Lost Ark is not really a typical ARPG and almost a bit MMOish.
I'm dpubt it will replace PoE, i think however it will appeal to many old D3 players, due to artstyle and combat.

Still korean games tend to kinda fail in the west.
