Given past 4 years of abysmal balancing and disappointments, I have zero confidence GGG knows what they are doing.

Name-locking should be replaced. Instant casting and Channeling is on the same track.

IMO that's a TAD harsh... Though I'll admit, I wholly expect myself that we won't see anything worth it in 3.7.0; even 3.6.0's "buffs" to self-casting didn't really amount to anything: Winter Orb still dominates, and what self-cast skills ARE popular are because they're brand-new skills that are either overtuned (e.gm Soulrend) or have a mechanic that GGG utterly failed to patch out a glaring exploit with. (e.g, Divine Ire and quadruple-dipping on "extra chaos damage")

I'll expect a few new shiny trinkets, and some moderate buffing... But melee will remain pretty garbage. I fully expect they'll fail to address any of the four problems I outlined a couple pages ago. (two-handers being garbage thanks to abyssal jewels, crits and accuracy, ranged just being mechanically superior, and the speed clear meta)

Unfortunately you are likely to be right, because CW believes that all PoE players population expects fast map-clear mechanics, which explodes monsters as soon as they appear on the screen. Or even faster. I am surprised that there is still no one-click skill which would fry to death all monsters on the entire map. This would make things much faster.
