Shame on This Community: I Tried GGG...

@OP:

1. Stop worrying about what anonymous people say on an online forum (unless it’s like violent threats or abhorrent genocidal ideological rants or something).

2. Complexity isn’t fun for its own sake. I don’t like this league mechanic because I simply don’t enjoy jumping through so many hoops for little reward (only some players seem to benefit from elaborate, high investment crafting systems). I’m not obligated to treat this game like a job, taking classes on youtube to re-learn how to play every 3 months. That doesn’t automatically make me lazy or obstinant in the face of learning new things, even if I do occasionally use hyperbole in a forum to get my point across.

There are a lot of serious problems with this game’s direction, but there seems to be plenty of hate aimed at the community instead. I see threads complaining about other groups of players as much as I see threads complaining about the game (some of them justified, many not).

I think the fact that we’re at each other’s throats makes it that much tougher for GGG to figure out what we want. We expect them to outsmart us and act as parental figures, giving us what they know the game needs to be healthy regardless of our desires, including bitter pills.

But what if they never really did know? What if they have no secret understanding and have been winging it the whole time? This is usually the embarrassing reality for most authorities on the planet, big and small.
We're all in this leaky boat together, people.

Sorry, but... I did read your post here, and I must admit that it seems like nothing but gibberish and nonsense and lots of words without any kind of anything really. Sorry, but none of it makes much sense really.

If you could actually say specific what kind of things did actually concern you it could be understandable, but your post here does not say anything else then gibrsh, rabla-dara tadios. Sorry.
I have to be very careful posting in this thread. Otherwise GGG will protect the Care Bear by deleting my post again.

I just want to point out the hypocrisy that OP has never played Synthesis league.

OK OP, let me teach you a lesson here.

You need to understand the truth in this society. Why colleges have "critical thinking" class? Because it is hard to do so. In other words, people in general, I'm actually talking about more than 70% - 80% of people in this society, don't know how to look at one thing from two sides. Therefore, if they see one thing they really feel bad in that subject, they will probably say it's bad and whining the shiit out of it. If they played something for like 10 mins and they like it, they will recommend that game and say "oh yea that game is great you should try it" without further thinking, did I play enough? is my friend having the same taste as I do?

Your question, to me, is actually asking too much to an average person. I had this feeling as well. But then I realize that there is no point arguing against random people, because they don't understand. If I meet them IRL probably I will be totally shocked by their social status, ideology and other behaviors.

Once you realize and accept that, you will understand why every single community is like this. Yes they are negative. That's how an average human works. They see everything as one thing. If they stop playing or get pissed off because of one thing in the game, yes they will be negative about the game. All those games, War3, Dota, LOL, D3, POE. They are all great games, but every forum looks bad. That's just how average people look at them.

And then you understand why you constantly get teamed up with irrational people in those 5v5 MOBA games. They all suck. They have no clue about game development and design. They don't use brain and turn off learning capability while playing games. That's the mass majority of the gaming community.

The irony!

Saying "there is no point arguing against random people" while doing it and having post history full of doing exactly that.

This is such a hilarious fedora brainlet post that it's almost like a copy pasta. The best part is that you have to ASSUME what kind of people support specific sort of opinions, showing that fresh air & human interaction are strangers to you.

You are exactly the kind of random people I'm talking about. End of conversation. One more post quoting me I'm reporting you.
a frustrating game results in frustrated players.

ever been this way, nothing new.

the difference to closed/open beta?

well, the wealth between nolifers and those with a life wasn't that huge as it is now and people only spending 2 to 3 hours a day gaming didn't feel lost seeing all the fun items on reddit.

best example is synthesis where the best crafted items are reserved for the top 5%, never seen so many frustrated comments even from old time players i know on reddit.

no judgement from my part, just stating what i see.
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
OP didn't even try synthesis league so I have no idea what he's trying to say.
I was around in use.net groups... before we even had "internet".

I was SysOp of my own BBS back in the day. I had a second phone line so people could call into my computer to play games and start flame wars.
DOn't be so melodramatic bearcares. And GGG hardly needs you to "save them" from cricism - game is growing every quarter. Believe it or not not everyone like every league. I'll just wait until a patch I like comes to play again. Some leagues are better than others. Although I heard this one got good with recent patch it's like too late I'm into something else.

God, you people and your oldness.

By the time I found out about nethack it was already "ancient" and the only people you could easily find who even remembered how little the original Rogue had in comparison were the actual nethack maintainers.

(I love nethack though, even though it's 4 years older than I am)
