The previous mechanic for connected buffs on memory map was over powered, this mechanic makes it completely worthless... especially with the massively limited pieces you can hold, completely random shapes, and constantly toggling between farming more memories in maps and then having to go back in to place them and run them. To top it off you need to store massive quantities of gear to have any chance of crafting much good stuff with synthesis.
