EU Latency/Connectivity Issues [Deutsche Telekom/1&1]

Can't log in, freezes, lag, freezes when syndicates spawn. Every other thing runs fine.

So many issues.

After I am done with my current character, I am taking my money to Wolcen or Division 2.

It seem that GGG doesn't have enough server capacity to accommodate the user demand on weekend's evenings

This isn't really true. We have enough capacity to accommodate players without too much trouble. This is a connectivity issue.

Additional MTRs to fra-mp.ts.pathofexile.com would be helpful, as I'm not seeing anything stand out to the speedtest address.

So, game is still unplayable for Players from telekom.

it is not your fra-mp.ts.pathofexile.com, it is every instance with an ip of 74.116.X.X sorry checks this... in any situation i'll get an instance from that ip range, i'll have horrible ping spikes, it dosen't matter where i am, hideout, map, etc.

Unfortunately the problem is with Telekom or their peers. The issues are happening too far away from our infrastructure for us to be able to do anything. All I can recommend is people forward through troubleshooting information through to them.

for the others here that, like me, still have massive latency problems.
Deutsche Telekom

Problems in Connectivity (Ping Spikes) only in PoE.

Several Days ago, over russian Server, smooth and nice playing.

World of Tanks has Ping 20, no Problems.

ISP: Deutsche Telekom
Country: Germany
Gateway: Frankfurt

Also have since weeks (since Synthesis starts) massive lags. Sometimes none, sometimes a lot, so I think it depends on instance servers. I will try to identify servers which causes lags.
WinMTR does not reflect this lag issues. I tried it once on a instance server I had ingame latency between 15 and 1500 but WinMTR did not show that.
As mentioned a few posts earlier from another user my observation is similar:

Server with lags(up to 1500ms):
2019/04/09 17:47:33 Connecting to instance server at 74.116.3.220:6112
2019/04/09 18:04:17 Connecting to instance server at 74.116.3.232:6112
2019/04/09 18:27:15 Connecting to instance server at 74.116.3.203:6112

On the other side, servers which are running smoothly:
2019/04/09 18:08:22 Connecting to instance server at 185.225.209.63:6112
2019/04/09 18:08:38 Connecting to instance server at 185.225.208.145:6112
2019/04/09 18:17:18 Connecting to instance server at 159.122.82.202:6112

The problematic server are in range of 74.116.3.XXX
Same here, German Telekom. See my comments in 'my' thread...

Interestingly, it started exactly with Betrayal (never had these issues before) and became much worse with Syndicate.

As the game is no longer playabel for me (for example, I lost several incursions today because the instance was completely frozen; I nearly died a couple of times with a very solid build; ...), the only thing I can do is quit. The only 'workaround' - zoning in and out until you get a lag-free instance - doesn't work with incursions, Zana's don't-die-or-leave missions, etc. And even if it was, it's no fun at all to play like that.

If GGG can't solve this - and from what I see, they either can't - which imho would be possible by blocking instances on the affected server range for players connecting through EU servers or similar means - then that's fine and I have to live with the result.

So, farewell PoE (at least for now)... it's been fun while it lasted (and, btw, I spent quite some cash for MTX / supporter packs during that time to support a game I really enjoyed).

[ot]In addition, the game is getting more and more complex, and at the same time more and more confusing and repetitive - too many additions made it to core for this humble casual, and we have to re-do anything like atlas, recipes, ... every season. The gap between the skilled gamers and the casuals has grown too big; while the former stop playing after some weeks, the latter have no chance of getting even close to completing most challenges.[/ot]

Though this be madness, yet there is method in't.
Same here, game is nearly unplayable - dying to lag more often then to monsters.

EU realm seems to be broken, latency display ist between 15 and 60, but that doesn't say anything - every two or three seconds the game freezes for one to five seconds. Obviously it doesn't have anything to do with the ping.

[Edit] it also seems to be connected to specific chars. If I log out to character selection and choos another char, the lag seems to be gone for a while.

i see like you, since GGG dont want to block the "bad" servers, i guess i will have to completly ditch PoE. Feels kinda bad, i still like the game even that i dont agree with all the latest decisions and league mechanics and how stuff is handled.

but, why should i try to entertain myself with a game that just frustrates me when i try to get entertained. makes no sense to me.
